California Car Duster 62557 Super Duster

I just received my new California Super Duster to go along with my brand new car. This thing is great...especially in the days between a car wash and a rainy day. The California Super Duster will make it look like you wash your car every day. First let me just state the obvious: The Super Duster is meant for use on a DRY car....not wet. Sorry...just had to say it. The key thing about the Super Duster is that it doesn't leave those swirls that you might otherwise get from just wiping your car down. It's got super-soft bristles that glide over the finish of your car and remove all the dust. On the other hand, make sure *dust* is all you're trying to remove with the Super Duster. Don't try to use it on silt and other 'sandy" type build-ups. Don't use it on bird droppings. And never scrub with it; if a gentle glide doesn't remove what you're trying to get rid of, go to the conventional method(s) of cleaning your car. Otherwise you risk swirls or scratches. This is my second duster after owning my last one for...well...since sometime in the 90s. The last one I had was a bit smaller with only a 15" cleaning head; the one on this page has a nice, big 31" cleaning head. And I was almost reluctant to get the 31" because my 15" was still working so well after all these years. In fact, as time goes by the thing actually works *better* as it starts to look dirtier. After your first use or two you may experience a little streaking (which freaked me out), and it even tells you in the packing that this may happen due to a "parrafin wax" that the Super Duster's soft bristles are treated with. Rest assured that this stops after like your first few uses, the wax does not harm the car's finish and it easily wipes off. Before the first use of the Duster, remove it from its packing and let it hang in you garage for a day or two; this greatly reduces the amount of streaking that may occur on your first try. So if you can get by the minor "streaking" thing that *might* occur in your first try, you'll love the results that the Super Duster provides. It's like taking your best suit to the dry cleaner with the major difference being you get a bright, shiny car back in under a minute using the Super Duster. Now...hit the road!

I just purchased a new car and a week later while it was sitting in the parking lot at work . . . the City decided to cut down a dead tree that was in the same parking lot. They proceeded to use a chipper for the branches without notifying anyone inside - when I walked out I was shocked to see my shiny new car covered with tree dust from bumper to bumper . . . totally bummed! I just had a clear protective coat put on my car and was not supposed to wash it for three days . . . Fortunately for me - one of the guys at work let me use the super duster they have for fleet vehicles!! AMAZING! I had to get one for myself - I went to several retailers nearby but could not find this product in stock so I came here instead and am now anxiously waiting for this product to arrive. A bit on the heavy side but not unmanageable - it cleans fast! I love the round mop head look and feel instead of the brush. I also purchased the dash duster which I'm sure will be equally amazing.

This particular duster is heavy duty, wooden handle, and duster goes all the way around, not just one flat side. With that said, it works like a charm and like that it comes with a case to store duster in and is 360° around the handle. So there is a lot of surface area it will cover. Please not, not only I it heavy duty, it literally is heavy so it is a little cumbersome to handle around tight areas and small crevices of my car, but overall works well. So far has not left any streaks nor any red lint from duster.

Solid construction. Made in USA. It feels so nice to hold a good quality product in your hands. However, it is quite heavy. All said, it cleans the dust off the car surface. So, it gets the job done. I’d be careful not to use on cars that have sticky tree saps which can mat the fibers.

I used to use a microfiber cloth that I had to attach to a rod to dust off my car, but this California Car Duster is so much easier and quicker to use. It's very sturdy and solid and rather heavy, not made of cheap material. Using it takes a lot less time to dust off my car before going to work. Just make sure to follow the directions to remove the wax from the mop head before the first use.

A lot of dust settles on it from the dry dirt roads out here in the desert. 3rd variation I bought; I finally bought one for it's actual use! The other 2 (1 mini, 1 regular) I use in the house the regular one for walls and cabinets, and a mini one for shelves. Living in the desert brings a lot of dust indoors, but these dusters make very quick work of a very tedious chore - and dare I say? FUN!

I've used California Car Dusters for over 30 years but this is my first extra-large version. It make reach the entire roof of my SUV a breeze and covers larger panels like the hood super easy to dust. Highly recommended!

Fantastic product! Works like a charm and gets into small areas. Fantastic for the dash and interior of cars.

El tamaño y su función son excelentes pero su peso es altamente sensible.

No need to have something too big in the car. I keep it on the side of the door. It's a good size to use now and then and it really does do a decent job at dusting your dash.
