Toyota Genuine Parts 90915-YZZD1 Oil Filter 1 Case (QTY 10)

As some reviewers point out, why buy aftermarket when you can find OEM at a lower price? I certainly would not pay the dealer price for this filter, but the Amazon price for a 10-pk. (including very fast and free shipping) makes a lot of sense for the DIY oil changer. I've owned only Toyotas for the past 40 years and presently have an Avalon, Corolla, and new Tacoma. I've also tried many filter brands, including some of the "snake oil" filters that claim to keep your engine healthier and happier than other brands. I'm convinced that the Toyota OEM is the best, if only because the filtering media area is much larger than that of aftermarket brands. And, AGAIN, thanks to Amazon and a few other sellers who offer these 10-pks. over the Internet, local Toyota dealers are no longer able to extract crazy excess profits from loyal owners. Another obvious benefit of this purchase is that you have up to 10-year supply of filters (synthetic oil, < 10,000 mi., 1-yr. interval). No more hunting for filter replacements. And, after installing one of these filters, there are no worries about having the correct cap wrench when it's time for the next oil change. (A bit off topic, but I strongly recommend the AST Assenmacher TOY 730 for this filter. It's cast aluminum -- not some cheap sheet metal stamping -- and it fits perfectly, with no slippage whatsoever. I believe this item is also available from Amazon.) 4/18/14 Edit: I now see that Amazon shows the Assenmacher TOY 640 oil filter socket wrench as "Frequently Bought Together" with these 90915-YZZD1 filters. Well, if you do buy this cap wrench, please be advised that, IT WILL NOT FIT this filter. Again, it is the Assenmacher TOY 730 that fits this filter -- and it fits perfectly.

Good deal. Better price than local dealership. This is OEM. Others use same color boxes so be careful.

Packaged well, nice and tight. Not much else to say as I’ve only used one and expect they’ll all be good filters. Looking forward to a bunch of oil changes!

OEM! Nothing better. Comes pre-greased. Open and install (hand tight only) and you’re done.

I love using OEM parts for their quality and seals to prevent leakage. Fit great on my 2000 4Runner.
