Silent Runner 9" - Wheel + Cage Attachment (NO Stand) - for Hamsters, Gerbils, Mice

Every night around 3am Godzilla, Mothra, King Kong and all their pals would get together for a rave party on the other side of our bedroom wall - or that was what it sounded like when our hamster would go to town, training for her much anticipated attending of the running of the bulls, every single night/early morning. My husband and I searched, in desperation, for a solution to our sleepless nights, at last resorting to looking up the contact info for renowned hamster assassins, and also child psychologists (the psychologist was to help deal with the fallout, of said possible, hamster assassination, that would inevitably descend on our children). Okay, okay don’t get alarmed, don’t call pet protection services on us - we were only talking about the absolute necessity of returning the hamster to the pet store. Anyway, back to the story: Faced with impending insanity, due to lack of sleep, my husband was dialing the first hamster assassin on our list, when we saw this pricy hamster wheel, we decided it was worth giving the wheel a try before we called in the professionals. We ordered the wheel. We installed the wheel (fortunately, it was very easy for our poor sleep deprived selves to install the wheel on the cage). We waited with bated breath. We fell asleep while we waited. We slept like we were under the spell of Maleficent. When we awoke, with spider webs in our long beards, we immediately went to the barber, then we held a rave party ourselves, to celebrate the return of slumber to our sleep deprived kingdom. Now, when we’re on our way to bed, instead of fortifying the hamster cage with useless, sound deadening foam, we all regularly encourage the hamster to train for her upcoming visit to Spain. Our earnest desire is for her to live through her attendance at the running of the bulls and come back to live out a long and happy, hamster life, with us and our non-psychologically-scarred children. My husband, children and I highly recommend this wheel, it’s worth every dollar. It is about as loud as the sound of a forgotten hose running in a distant neighbor’s yard, two city blocks away. This wheel will save lives, sanity, and most importantly sleep. (note: we bought this hamster wheel during the coronavirus quarantine, we are around the hamster and her wheel 24/7, we have seen the hamster use the wheel, the wheel really is as quiet as described)

This is the best wheel I have purchased. We have 10 hamsters both Dwarf and Siberian. The love it! It’s sturdy but light enough for them to run on. Super easy to clean and so very silent! The wheel is also versatile, some wheels we have in tanks while others are mounted on bars. Amazing product!!! I was constantly replacing other spinners but not this one, it’s quality is superior.

I purchased this for Syrian hamster. When firmly mounted, it’s super silent but due to design, the screw does come loose and then the noise begins. Our first Syrian loved to poop when he ran in it and omg that was a PITA to clean. Thankfully our current fur friend doesn’t so that but if you have one of the poop and run hamsters, I recommend you buy a very flexible bottle brush to clean.

I originally got this for my daughter’s Syrian hamster but he outgrew it. We gave it to my son’s Robo hamster that kept launching itself out of her wheel. Both hamsters loved it and I don’t have a flying fuzz ball anymore. Though funny I was worried she would be injured. It’s completely silent yet somehow doesn’t manage to get dirty like the wodent wheel. It’s expensive but worth it.

Wheel is very narrow. Would not recommend for a Syrian or anything bigger than a Syrian hamster. Very nice, sturdy and quiet as a mouse. Cleaning it takes a little extra time because of the disassembly process. Overall would buy the brand again because of its quietness.

Easy to assemble, it’s very quiet (all you hear are my sugar gliders little feet running, which I don’t mind) and very easy to clean. Very happy with purchase and so are my gliders.

Update: Great after I bought stand. I combined about vibrating, they sent new barring in new back, sent new bolt. But confirmed nothing wrong with what bought, just my cage rattles if bolted to side. Bought $5 stand and works great, also bought 8" Wodent wheel with stand before seeing worked. Hamster ran both, wodent little more but took it out for use when out cage only as Wodent is much louder and cage in bedroom. Kaytee wheels with cages too small for dwarf hamster, the one attached outside nice but messy outside cage and must be cleaned and lubricated often, Silent runner 9" ends up the best wheel for winter white dwarf hamster for cage in bedroom.

Did not come with a stand so we can’t use it

My gerbils love this wheel! Will be getting another one eventually!
