Quiet pottery wheel and adjustable height.
Very well packed and works great. The pedal is made of plastic and moves pretty easy, due to the lightness. The table is very well built and is quite quiet. Recommend

Great entry level wheel that’s quiet and powerful
For the price you can’t beat this wheel. It’s very quiet and balanced well. My daughter loves it and it’s a great starter wheel to get into the hobby without spending $1000 or more. It feels very durable and it’s got some weight to it.

Worked well at first, then stopped working after a month.
It is a light weight but low quality wheel, good enough to make smaller things, such as mugs or bowls--until it breaks down. I was excited to use it when it first arrived. HOWEVER, after using it for a month, it start to break down. I think the band is very low quality. What happened is sometimes after turning on the wheel for a few seconds, the band would fall off the track and the wheel would stop turning when being turned on. I would manually put the band back up which is tedious to do. What's worse is recently the band has gotten even worse, and every time I put it back, it falls immediately after I turn on the wheel. If you check out the video, you can see that when I first press the foot pedal, the wheel started turning, and then slowed down and stopped. And on the bottom, you can see the band fell off the track. So right now this wheel is no longer usable. I tried to contact the seller but haven't heard back. For an appliance that is over $200, I would expect it to last for at least a year, if not more. Unfortunately it lasted for only a few months.

Seems okay
The wheel was packed well and there was no damage to the wheel when I opened it. It started up fine and has decent speed for a beginner wheel. I have yet to throw clay on it but will be trying it out hopefully this weekend. Price is right for a starter wheel. The cord for the foot pedal is a little short, but not super inconvenient. Tray is easy to put on and remove. The power cord is really short. Studios generally have electric halfway up the wall for obvious reasons so not sure why the cord is so short. I wound up purchasing an extension cord. I contacted service and they said any 3 core cord is fine (not true.) I found one that won’t hamper the speed of the wheel while in use. The switch on the side of my wheel is yellow so it doesn’t match the image exactly, but it functions as it should. Forward and reverse work just fine. There’s no wobble in the wheel head and the pedal operates as expected. I did not receive tools with my wheel even though they’re advertised as coming with. The power cord length and lack of tools earned it 4 stars. I’ll update once I use the wheel for the first time. Update: I just attached a Speedball bat to the top using the clay method as there are no spots for pins. I didn’t want to drill so I just took a small ball of clay and smoothed it onto the wheel head. After that, I took a tool and put a few intersecting lines to help the bat get a grip. Center the bat as best you can without putting too much pressure on. This might take a few tries. Once the bat is centered, give a couple of firm taps with the edge of your fist. This will lock the bat in place. :) There are YouTube tutorials as well. Using an extension cord worked just fine to combat the short power cord issue. I got one that is rated for larger appliances and is 3 core. I just unplug when it’s not in use. Will update again when I throw my first pot.

Works Great!
I've been using this wheel for 2 months and love it! It has great power and works so well, the only thing I wish it had are pins on the wheel to put on Batts.

A great hobby gift. Durable, fun, and affordable. Great buy.
This was purchased as a gift for my grand daughter. She was absolutely thrilled when she received it for Christmas. After months of using it, she has told me that it was one of her favorite presents. She sent us pictures of the many different items she made and continues to use it almost every weekend. The quality was amazing and so far has proven to be very durable and easy to use. She likes the fact that she can plug it in on the back porch or in he hobby room and run it on regular 120v. power. My daughter was mad at me for getting it for my granddaughter because she feared it would be loud, but it has been very quiet so she has now forgiven me. LOL The speed of the platform allows for some very creative items to be formed and decorated. Very happy with this purchase.

Now 3 *-- 3.5* with a lot of explaining
2 weeks later: Reduced to a true three stars. Sadly I have to say I am sending this back. While I still await the replacement splash pan I don't like how the current one which I have to bungee together moves way too much. Though the bigger issue is the motor pedal relationship has started to change already. In two ways specifically. When I put it on a low speed for burnishing, it started to do the most modest jog. I have to admit it's not terrible but it's brand new and it's a sign of problems to come. The second thing that's happening is at medium high speed, when I take my foot off the pedal and I have done this repetitively, the wheel slows down too much. So I thought it was me, and I had my pottery friend try it and it happens to her as well and we both try this initially without that problem. Again to me it's a sign of what's to come. I wanted this to be something that would last me at least 3 years but I don't want to have put out a couple of hundred bucks and be out that money because this fails. 3.* Actual deduction is 1.5 stars total. Yes this is an extremely inexpensive pottery wheel. So I recognize that I could not expect a lot for the price point. I wanted a lower cost at-home option. This might be a little too low because I am fussy and I have to admit that. For the price point it's probably what you want to expect but this is how I would rate it nonetheless. It came packed well though box was a bit of mess on the outside. Everything held up okay on the inside because it is well padded, secured and packaged. All the items as indicated in the listing arrived okay. I have not opened the tool package because I am not sure if I'm keeping the wheel. The one thing that comes with this are metal tools that I have another set of and if they're made anything like my other set they will be exquisite. Everything else I expect will be cheap versions of high-end tools but that doesn't matter to me as much. The biggest initial challenge I will say is getting the legs balanced so that the wheel is level on our very level floor. I have a video of that but it's not worth showing it to you. As a hint we started off making sure that the double screw legs overlapped entirely. So each leg we slid in an inch and a half. And then we just kept working from there until I got it level. It never got completely level but after throwing it has not impacted my output at all. The biggest issues: -1* the reason for one entire star deduction is the splash pan does not close around the wheel and click shut. I tried it on and off the actual wheel table and it simply does not fit. One side seems to come together okay but the other does not. In order to try out the wheel I have taped the gapping space on the inside of the pan and the bungee the two halves together so that it has stability when I lean on the pan... I also note by watching a lot of YouTube videos, I have learned about problems about this with reviews, and I have heard that some people have jimmy this, and have trimmed parts of the pan but I will not do that. I have communicated with Vevor which you can only do through chat on their website. I provided my proof of purchase. After an initial AI conversation I was then transferred to what was a bit of a challenging text conversation (with what I could sense was a real person) I was told I would hear from somebody in 2 business days. In two days (a total of 4 days since it was over the course of a weekend) I received an email indicating that there was no activity on my service request and so if I don't respond they will close the request as they'll consider it completed. (Uff-duh! Obviously that's something they need to fix!) I immediately wrote back and indicated that I AM STILL WAITING to hear back from them from the initial conversation that told me to wait two business days. The next day I got another email that indicated they would send me out a new splash pan --but it is not in stock and I have to wait up to 15 days. In their chats as well as emails they continually ask you to be patient. I went ahead and ordered it. My intention will be is if the replacement splash pan does not fit well, I will return the entire wheel...I am very curious and interested in the BP Sirius 2 (yes, that is another 800 to $900 and it is 12", but it does have bat pins where this one does not a heavier duty everything else including the pedal and the weight of the entire unit). About the pins, I don't deduct any stars because the bottom line IS WE ARE INFORMED as a buyer that they do not have pins and that to me, really is not a hard thing to do. -1/4* Another 1/4 star is removed because the pedal is pithy (also several other video reviews indicate this) and because of its lightweight, it is a bit too easy to move around with the slightest adjustment of your foot on top of it. I suggest the smartest thing is to plan on attaching to the bottom some sort of thick rubber base (which if I keep the wheel I will figure that out). On the other hand it is exquisitely sensitive and very quick to respond to your desired change and speed which is a plus. - 1/4* Last another quarter star is removed because the splash pan (that doesn't close well together, and even if it did, the problem would remain) is probably a half inch to an inch higher than the average pottery wheel that I've ever worked on ( Speedball, Skutt, and Brent). Ergonomically it just makes the reach to the wheel platform a little bit uncomfortable though I also found it did not affect my throwing I felt it and in the long run I wonder if it will start bothering my wrists or arms or hands. Last I will mention that I basically have only been throwing small items right now maxing out at about 4 lb. The one thing I have noticed is, and I'm not so sure this is negative yet, but if I am using the wrong speed at the time of, for example centering, my pushing down (force) on the clay did cause a little bit of a louder groaning sound. On one hand, it's almost like having a coach because apparently for the force I was using, the engine wants to have more speed and it did go away when I simply increased the wheel rotation. On the other hand it could be an indicator of a problem that can become more pronounced over time. This is a hard call and therefore I am not going to reduce this product by any more stars but it is something I am leery about and between now and when the splash pan comes I am going to experiment with it more. Finally I will say I really like the power button and the reversing buttons on this unit. They are made with a toggle style switch that has a rubber gasket around it to protect it from moisture. Nonetheless I have a taped on plastic piece protecting the buttons to avoid splashing. Overall, my output and a friend's output has been no different than using any of the higher-end wheels. The power is there, the speed is there, and ultimately I think this is a smart investment if the splash pan gets a good replacement. I would really like to be able to save and keep this!
