Velbon QB-5 W

This platform was my second try at replacing the missing part on my Velbon S 6000 tripod and I finally hit the jackpot. I learned that there are actually two platforms for this model, depending on the pan head you have. This one, measuring 1 3/4" x 2" fits my tripod perfectly and Amazon made returning the smaller 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" Velbon QB-4W I originally ordered absolutely painless. Both are quality OEM parts, just be sure to check the drop-in opening size for the platform on your Velbon S 6000 before you order so you get the correct one.

I've been trying to find a quick release plate for my velbon s-6000 with a PH-295Q pan head and everywhere I looked it said to get the QB-4W and those never fit. So I decided to just get this one to try it and it fits perfect! Good quality as well!

These are of good quality. They are plastic, exactly what you would expect to receive when purchasing one of the low end TriPods. The attachment part is rectangular though. Not the Square type I was looking for when ordering. If you have a tri pod that takes the rectangular base inserts then this is a great buy.

This is an exact duplicate of the plate that came with my Velbon S-6000 tripod, I think. It fits perfectly and looks just like the old one, but that was a long time ago, there might be some very subtle differences.

This item worked exactly as described and is very durable. Saved my expensive tripod for continued use.

Turned out to be the wrong size. Not the senders fault. I was guided by a incorrect review that said it would fit my tripod.

Usual scenario, could you use this? Yep, camera tripods are always useful - err, where's the plate? Nice to see this was so easily obtainable and is a quality product. Easy to fit, remove and no slack in the system to cause problems with my Canon EOS 450D.
