14 mesh is good for very detailed 3D projects
This stuff holds up excellently for things like ornaments and 3D crafts. You can use normal embroidery floss (anywhere between 3 and 6 strands; 2 strands does not provide enough coverage) to stitch on it. You can even use it to make miniature versions of plastic canvas projects! This stuff is notably more expensive than Aida, so it's not everyday stitching material. And you need to be a bit careful how thick your needle and stitching materials are. (For example, when I tried to just put six-strand embroidery floss through, it would only fit through once. The larger stitches on this case are made by folding over three strands of embroidery floss and working it double.) Also, it is notably thinner and less sturdy than 7-mesh (normal type) plastic canvas, so I would not give this pencil box to a younger child. But this stuff has some real potential, if you remember its unique properties. Here I have constructed an extremely detailed pencil/pen case, using the techniques typically used for plastic canvas projects. The closure up top is made of magnetic handbag snaps. The stitches are counted-stitch patterns like brick stitch (gray-green), diamond straight stitch (yellow-green and dark green), mosaic stitch (pink), plaited gobelin stitch (blue), and captive rice stitch (orange/yellow). The edges are held together by stitching overcast stitch twice, first in one direction and then the other.

Worked perfectly for making cross-stitched magnets
I used this 14-count plastic canvas to make cross-stitched magnets, and it worked perfectly! I trimmed the sheet into smaller sections that I could clamp into my cross-stitch frame, and since I was making small magnets, a little bit went a long way! I made 14 magnets and had plenty of plastic canvas left for future projects. It really was a delight to stitch on, producing very even stitches. The only difficulty was backstitches that required going between the holes, but I was able to pierce the relatively soft plastic with a sharp needle. It was time consuming but not difficult to trim around the stitched areas, and then I trimmed felt to size and affixed it to the back of each stitched piece with spray glue. Then glue on a magnet, and done! I was so pleased with the finish, and it wasn't difficult at all. If you're a cross-stitcher looking for a new way to finish your stitching, I'd definitely recommend this - fun, easy, inexpensive, and such a satisfying result.

Great Plastic Canvas for Stitching Ornaments/ Keychains!
The only reason I gave it four stars was because I wish I had received more canvas for the money spent, but all in all it's a great product! I purchased it to make an ornament for a gift exchange and was not disappointed. You use it exactly the same way as you would cross stitch fabric. Although it took a little bit of getting used to because of the different material it was very sturdy and I would definitely use it again and again. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that your needle will not be held taut in it like it does with fabric so sometimes if you don't push the needle through all the way before flipping around to the back it will fall right out LOL. Also make sure to use a minimum of two strands of floss when stitching so that way you get full coverage. It was very easy till cover the back with a piece of felt and Stitch over the edges of my ornament. I was also able to very easily trim the material with my Sharp crafting shears although that would not have been necessary because the more you handle the plastic it warms up and it's easy to cut.

Decent choice for sprouting jars.
I really bought this to make lids for my sprouting jars. I was hoping the holes to be just a smidge bigger for better draining and airflow, but truth be told they work just fine for my sprouts. So if that's your thing, consider looking for a bigger size, but if you don't feel like it, it's not necessary.

It’s the perfect size, I use this when I make badges using cross stitch and the price is reasonable.

It’s sturdy and it’great to work with.
I enjoy making little things, especially at Christmas, as ornaments for the tree. I’v made an 🌲 ornament for the kids for years. I also made some for my dad, who was in his early 80’s at that time. I made them for my sister and she had them on her tree every year. I’ve also tried making Christmas scenes because this plastic is sturdy and durable and it works great.

Good for cross stitch
Couldn’t find a plastic canvas this small in stores. Pricier than comparable ones at Hobby Lobby and JoAnn’s, but was perfect for this cross stitch bookmark project (pattern by DorkStitch on Etsy).

I bought this to make crosstitch creations and the can as was perfect. A little stiff if the string is too thick but other than that it was great.

High quality mesh I use for cross-stitching. Flexible and durable. Soft enough to cut with fine scissors.

Prodotto molto valido per realizzare segnalibri a punto croce. È la giusta dimensione corrispondente alla tela aida 55 fori (14ct). Nella confezione sono presenti due fogli in plastica, di misura poco inferiore alla a4 ed io lo consiglio
