Vallejo Black 200ml Painting Accessories

I am a fan of Vallejo paints, but I really love their Mecha Color Varnish. The matte varnish provides a nice even finish, and I am satisfied with the durability for how much I handle my models (which is not too much). Before getting an airbrush, I used the rattle can Mr. Hobby Premium Topcoat. With proper thinning, this does just as well at a fraction of the cost.

My husband bought this for his hobby. He likes to 3D print and paint various models and wanted this along with the black and grey to use with his airbrush to prime his models before painting them. Works great straight out of the bottle in the airbrush and covers exceptionally well with 1 coat. All my husband will use is Vallejo paint and primers. He is 100% a Vallejo fan boy for sure. Been using them for many years now.

Air brush ready. No need to thin. Just poor and shoot. Great matte finish. Doesn’t dry too quick in case you need to make adjustments or clean it off.

This varnish is MATTE, and I do mean that. I've used different varnishes, almost all of them still leave a little bit of shine behind. This stuff leaves no shine at all, with the exception of very bright true metallic paint. Even metallic paint gets dulled a little, so if you want to keep that shiny, mask it off before spraying this. It goes into my airbrush fine out of the bottle, though you can use some thinner if you want. I didn't feel the need to and it didn't clog my nozzle at all. This varnish is perfect if you want a great display model. I'm not sure how well this holds up to handling as gloss is supposedly better for that, but you could reasonably put down a coat of gloss and then use this varnish over it. A+ product, I'll never use rattle cans again.

Ich habe den Vallejo Mecha Primer für einen Bile Titan aus Helldivers 2 verwendet (Im Bild ersichtlich). Nach einigen Durchgängen mit der Airbrush kann ich sagen das er hält was er verspricht. Verarbeitung: Die Grundierung ist fertig gemischt und kann direkt in die Airbrush. Ich habe sie mit einer 0,4 mm Düse getestet. Sie sprüht sehr fein und neigt nicht zum Verstopfen. Finde die Farbe allerdings etwas dünn. Deckkraft & Haftung Die Deckkraft ist sehr gut, eine gleichmäßige Schicht entsteht meist schon nach zwei dünnen Durchgängen. Sie haftet hervorragend und fühlt sich nach dem Trocknen angenehm matt an. Sie bietet eine perfekte Basis für weitere Farben. Trocknungszeit & Weiterverarbeitung Der Primer trocknet recht schnell: Nach 15-20 Minuten ist er oberflächentrocken. Nach einer Stunde kann man gut weiterarbeiten. Nach 24 Stunden ist er komplett ausgehärtet und widerstandsfähig. Ich habe bewusst einige Tests gemacht z.b. mit leichtem Kratzen mit dem Fingernagel. Die Farbe hält wirklich gut. Der im Bild ersichtliche Bile Titan aus Helldivers wurde vollständig mit Farben von Vallejo bemalt.
