get the app and then it connects via bluetooth - once connected you can change the settings... pretty easy

Q: What happens if you exceed the rated amps? Will it shutdown automatically? Or will it burn?

That depends on a number of variables regarding *how* and *why* you exceeded the rated amps. This device is NOT, repeat NOT to be connected to an inverter, which is the most common way of overloading them. The device *does* have a momentary surge rating to compensate for unexpected loads, but that's not the problem with inverters - that's a whole different issue. So as long as you exceed the rating momentarily with a standard load, the device will be fine, as it's surge rated to 600A. Exceeding the rating on a continuous basis will, however, damage the device. This device is also UNIDIRECTIONAL in operation, meaning you CANNOT connect it in any way that may allow reverse current through it; this will immediately and irreparably damage the device.
