Very soft, very pretty, sized well for baby/travel pillow, washes easily by hand and dries quickly. I wish it were a little less expensive, but it's a good quality item, so I'll get over it.

WHY SILK CASES: I am pretty much addicted to the silk pillowcases now :( I love the way they feel, the way my hair is NOT all crazy fuzzy anymore, and the smoothness/coolness of the fabric). Can I say that these are any better than ALL the other silk cases out there? I don’t know. BUT I have ordered several OLESILK and RAVMIX and have quite pleased :) Price point for both standard and queen sizes are good, so it just depends on what color I find myself “needing” (I only use 1 at a time as the extra/accent pillow - to coordinate with the shams & cases that I am currently using .... = 5 pillows on queen bed, the 5th being the silk one in the middle, and it looks nice when bed is made). Love nearly all the colors, they are gorgeous, but I can’t afford all. Lol. So every couple of mos I pick up another one I’ve been eyeing. SIZING: If you have “normal” sized pillows that you’ve purchased in the last few yrs, most of those are the new in-between size of standard/queen (20x28) vs the 20x26 (standard) or the 20x30 (queen). I RECOMMEND GETTING THE QUEEN SIZE CASE. So it’s not as tight on your pillow and shouldn’t pull at the seams/ends. AS FOR CARE: I do baby these beauties. I change every 2 wks (our sheet sched) and once I have 2-3 that need washing, I hand wash in my (clean) bathroom sink w/ woolite (any SILK wash vs reg laundry detergent), and COOL water for a few min. Just old school style, of squeezing and pushing cases to/fro, getting the water to move thru the fibers/fabric weave. Again just a FEW min (3 min maybe) rinse in COOL/COLD too. Gently squeeze and then EVEN MORE GENTLY, wring out the water and HANG DRY (2 on a pants hanger with the clips). They don’t take terribly long to dry. When I had only 1 case, I would wash in afternoon, and by bed time it was dry. EASY TO TAKE ALONG/TRAVEL: ALSO when I travel I take a case with me (it’s light as air), so that I have a little luxury from home and my hair and face are happy as well. It really has cut down on frizz (in conjunction w/ NO more boar bristle brushes - the hair cuticle was continually getting roughed up and damaged). Again, I have a couple/ few of this brand - colors are lovely, price is good, they look nice when hung up to dry and wash-up good (lighter colors sometimes show shadow/casting of my face creams when I slather that on heavy in winter/dryer mos) Hope I covered what to expect with getting silk cases.

Perfect for keeping my curly haired toddlers curls nice at night and during nap. So soft, cooling and comfortable. I wash it in a garment bag and have used Dreft with no issues, just air dry it. Will buy another one for nap time when my toddler starts school.

Beautifully made, nice quality silk.

These pillowcases are beautiful and very soft! They are well constructed and the taupe color is just as pictured. I hand washed them in lukewarm water with a little woolite, squeezed out as much water as possible, then popped them into the dryer for 20 minutes on the delicate/low heat setting. They came out of the cool dryer looking just fine, and ready to put on my pillows with no need for ironing. (In the future, if I’m not in a hurry, I’ll probably air dry them instead, since it’s a little better for the silk material). I use a queen sized contoured memory foam pillow, and was pleased that the pillowcases were roomy enough to fit even this bulky pillow perfectly. To save some wear and tear on the zippers and seams, I folded the pillows in half before stuffing into the cases— it’s also much easier! I previously owned a set of high end DreamSacks brand silk sheets (think they have been discontinued), and the quality of the silk in these pillowcases feels just the same, but are perhaps a little nicer grade of silk. My only concern is that these pillowcases don’t have the OKEO-TEX 100 certification tags (certifying that they are free of harmful chemicals) as shown in the listing photos, and the packaging doesn’t indicate that they meet this standard, so this listing description is potentially misleading. I’m sensitive to many commonly used chemicals, and have severe asthma, so this was concerning. But I couldn’t detect even a hint of chemical odor upon opening the package. And while washing, I didn’t notice see any chemical sizing or color bleed in the wash or rinse water, so I feel ok about using sleeping on these. I’m just disappointed because the advertised certification was one of the main reasons I purchased this item. Also, they arrived in a plastic bag type of packaging, rather than the “special designed box package” for gift giving mentioned in the description. Since I purchased these for my own use, I actually prefer not having more packaging to dispose of, but if you are considering giving these as a gift, please keep in mind that they won’t arrive in a box. I’ll update my review if the pillowcases don’t wear well—but for now, I love them, and think this was a great find! I purchased these from Amazon at retail price and have received no discount or other consideration in exchange for this review. Love this! Very soft and nice quality, I don’t love that it has a zipper but I just tuck it in so my toddler can’t mess with it and it’s perfectly fine that way!

Best choice for out 5 year old with super silky hair...

I ordered 1 pillow case to see if I liked it! It came the following day -excellent customer service! I liked it so much I ordered another one within a week! (I did pay more because I bought a single) The product was elegantly wrapped in tissue paper with a plastic covering ( protecting it completely) in a lovely small box! The pillow case is of high quality and the zipper is hidden on the bottom-the silk itself is heavy enough with a delicate feel to it- Good price point (so far-it’s a great product!) Time will tell with wear and tear… I will only hand wash and drip dry ( silk is too delicate to throw in washer-)

Very silky

Though it appears that reviews here are a mixed bag, I wanted to add my feedback as I've now owned these pillowcases (I bought a 2 pack) for 6 months now. The standard size fits my Tempurpedic Symphony pillow perfectly - no wrinkles. I've used satin pillowcases for my curly hair for many years now, and I noticed that my hair is definitely less rumpled and frizzed in the morning after using these silk pillowcases. Satin is pretty good, but this silk is another level. I was definitely surprised it could be better. The silk is very good quality, thick, heavy and well stitched. Others may be expecting it to be like a thin silk chiffon, but this is not the case. I'd compare it to a thick silk twill similar to a designer silk scarf - good quality and sturdy. It's not as slippery as satin but my hair and skin definitely prefer silk. It's not some fad when you have unruly curly hair that needs good care. This pillowcase has honestly made a difference. I've only used one pillowcase of the two I bought for the last 6 months and it's as good as new. Wash it frequently on gentle cycle and hang to dry. Haven't even unwrapped my spare pillowcase. I came to this listing to purchase the same set in black, so I don't need to worry about my night creams marking the pillowcases. As such, I would definitely purchase again and highly recommend these pillowcases.
