Great mid-line turntable for the price point
So far seems to be a well-built product. Great sound and simple set up. Connected through the Bose Music Amplifier. Being that it is automatic, no need to race to stop the needle from wearing out as the platter spins until manually stopped. Might look into another stylus cartridge (needle) as i have read others who purchased this turntable were very pleased when they did change the original out for a higher quality.

A beautiful flagship turntable that is so easy to use and sounds fantastic
This turntable looks way better in real life than in photos. Real ebony wood veneer with fingerprint resistance matte finish is exquisite. Sound quality is superb with a smooth three dimensional life like quality. A direct drive motor lends to accuracy and clarity of musical detail. Craftsmanship is apparent with its hefty 40 lbs. of weight. This piece of hi-fi gear represents a great value for the money based on the excellent build quality alone and will likely last for many years of use. Push button controls, instant start and stop, swappable headshell, and on the fly VTA adjustments has shifted my own listening preferences to now mostly vinyl as opposed to CD, SACD, DVD-Audio, Dolby Atmos Music and HiRes Streaming. Denon DP-3000NE comes with a very easy to use overhang gauge for mounting cartridges. I found that having a variety of phono cartridges pre-mounted on headshells adds to the fun in being able to so easily change the sound of records. I've particularly enjoyed listening to Denon DL-103R, AT 33ptg/ii, AT VM95SH, Ortofon Super OM30, Grado Platinum 3 and Hana ML phono cartridges mounted on this turntable. Since owning this turntable I have discovered more nuances, textures and complexities in my vinyl collection. These details I have previously never heard before makes listening to music even more enjoyable.

Frustrated consumer
Just wanted to post my awful experience with this player and Denon support. I purchased this player as my entry level into vinyl. I was told by many people that Denon made a good entry player that was reasonable for the money. I purchased this player and then started receiving and purchasing vinyl from stores and friends around my area. Thie player had a total of about 1 hour play time before I experienced sporadic slow down. I knew it could not be the belt because it was a brand new player but checked it out and replaced it anyway. When I called Denon support they took me through a checklist to make sure everything on the player was set up properly. After determining that everything was configured they gave me the only option which was to send the player to an Authorized Denon Service Center. I wasn't too happy about sending it at my cost to a service center but at least I figured it would be handled properly and be a done deal. After sending it out to the service center I called 2 weeks later to check the status and there was a message they were on vacation for a few more weeks. Eventually they service center had this player for a total of 5 weeks. They eventually called me and told me that there had to be a motor replacement on the unit and they were on back order from Denon. The technician told me there must be multiple issues with the motors in these units. At this point I still didn't care as long as it worked when it was returned. When I received the turntable a few days later it looked as if someone dropped it. The top of the unit was craked, the metal turntable was loose inside the unit and must have been rattled around on delivery so there were circular scrates on the onyx finish EVERYWHERE. The side of the unit had mutiple scratches and to top it off the turntable had so much resistance that it wouldn't spin...even when powered on. The box was not damaged at all or looked like it was even dropped. Rather then contact the service center I called Denon to express my frustrations. I felt they should hold their authorized service centers to higher standards and obligations to the consumer. The customer service representative listened to my frustrations and was very sympathetic. I told him I would like to hear from a supervisor or a manager that could esculate and handle this issue. He told me a supervisor from Denon would contact me shortly. Days later I received an email saying basically there isn't a thing that Denon can do at this point. That I needed to take this up with the service center. Why? I feel this is an unacceptable answer. Even if I sent it the turntable to this awful service center how could they replace the entire unit? It's scratched beyond repair. Just wanted to give everyone something to think about before purchasing a Denon player. The customer support has been lackluster and the turntable has been nothing but problems either. I am glad to see some people have no problems at all. I just wish Denon would take corrective steps to make sure their customers are satisfied.
