Soul Eater, Vol. 2 (Volume 2)

This is quickly becoming my new favorite Manga series. It handles a darker theme while still maintaining a humorous tone. The characters are all well fleshed out and the art is beautiful. This volume builds on the first one as we see what Maka and Soul Eater are really capable of. We also continue to see Black Star's antics which add so much comic relief. Truly great manga.

after reading this I want more. SOUL EATER is a great manga due to it comedy, fighting, and art work. vol.2 of SOUL EATER was very good and fun to read. translation is all ways with this manga. if you were looking for a manga to read, this is it

A really unique narrative, with the most bizarre characters and ideas. It's a shame that it includes the typical boob humour that plagues a lot of manga though..

This second volume of the Soul Eater manga sees the conclusion of the remedial assignments as Soul, Maka, Black Star and Tsubaki encounter the eccentric Dr Stein. Once this encounter is done with the main storyline of the manga starts to gain pace as Soul and Maka encounter the strange meister Crona and the demon sword Ragnarok. I really enjoyed this volume of Soul Eater as it introduced two of my favourite characters from the series, Dr Stein and the witch Medusa. Although Medusa doesn't do much in this volume she is a brilliant character and shows just what a true witch is capable of, Stein on the other hand is just brilliant, being both funny and powerful at the same time. The series really begins to get god in this volume with some nice action, some very funny moments and some revelations on why DWMA was formed.
