This product works. It flat-out works. It brings the beetles in, and drops them into the bag, neat as you please. You, as a human, can smell the lure from over a hundred feet away, so rest assured, the bugs can smell it from even further away. Don't place it near the bushes you wish to protect, put it somewhere it will PULL the bugs AWAY from your bushes! Get a sense of the prevailing winds in your area, and site the trap upwind of your bushes. That will draw the bugs away from your plants, and into the trap. Now as you can see, I have MODIFIED my trap just a little bit. I cut off the bottom of the bag, and inserted an oil fill funnel. I then installed a pole in my pond, and hung the trap a few inches above the surface of the water. Now, instead of falling into the bag and dying slowly, they fall into the water, where the bass, bluegills and crappie gobble them up right away! Now I have no more beetles, and get fat, happy fish in return!

If you have Grape Vines or Cherry Trees in the Southern US, I'm sure you've met Mr. Japanese Beetle. These things actually work, and within a few days of hanging them up, you will have yourself a sack full of these invasive and destructive little monsters. Easy to use, very effective, they shipped fast and we couldn't be happier with the price on them, way cheaper than they are at the local hardware stores!

Will reduce your Japanese Beetle problem in a hurry. Many claim they actually attract more beetles to your garden. I have not experienced this, but if I do, I will just turn them into a chicken feeder.

Best lure I've used. Attracts the beetles like bears to honey. I hate the price but when I can find them on sale, I stock up.

When ordering make sure it is this item. I bought one that looks almost identical to this one and it didn’t work. I ordered the refill for this brand and started using it and the bag was 1/3 full the next day. Live and learn 😊

I already caught a dozen or so of those suckers and it is only mid-June. I recharged 4 traps with the replacement lure this year and it looks like they will perform well again. Update: This is year 3. I bought replacement lures twice already. But this year I won't. Because why, oh dear god of price fixing, does the replacement lure cost a dollar more than a whole new trap?
