These are ok for a pedal amp. I use something else in V1 for the clean channel as these are just too tight.

I popped four of these into Crate VC120 head that I've had sitting in my garage for years. I forgot how great that amp sounds - but it needed some TLC. One of the power tubes had blown, and the preamp tubes had never been changed. After changing out all of the tubes and biasing, the amp sounds as good as it did when I first got it. Before ordering these tubes, I called some local shops and visited one big chain music store. They didn't have ANY power tubes in stock, but they did have a set of four Mullard 12AX7's that I almost bought. They were more expensive than these, and since they didn't have any power tubes in stock, I resorted to buying them online. It worked out great, I saved about $50 on the set by getting the JJ's, and very happy with the sound.

World's great but should have come in better packaging as they are VACUUM tubes. There was no extra protection like bubble wrap and additional boxing
