The unit works great. I did find the wires to be too short for my application, but there was no problem adding additional wiring. I would buy again without hesitation.

I bought this device when adding a trolling motor to my kayak. Easy to wire / install, I used a Ryobi Drill Bit Box to enclose the controller. The only problem I had was that the 3-way rocker switch was hard wired and could not be installed in the front cover without cutting one pair of green and blue wires. Would be easier if the maker provided a male/female connector for those. It seems to work fine but I have not had it our on the lake yet. If it lasts...a great deal for $16.95

I have several of these controlling a small rotary welding table, pitching machine ball feeder, etc. and they seems to work fine and have been running for a while. If i had one small gripe it would be that to mount to forward/reverse switch to an enclosed box with a face plate, you have to remove the shrink wrap around the switch to get it to fix nicely and also remove and re-solder two of the wire that come from the switch. I usually just replace with spade connectors anyways...but that's the only improvement i can think of.

**Wired it up and tested it, worked at first. Took it out again and after 5 minutes, it only ran in reverse, not forward. Frustrated, I assumed it was a bad unit and bought another one, same issue. Then the first one that was working completely failed too. Total waste of money. Save yourself the headache—do not buy this.**

This was a great replacement for the mother board in my max air fan.I did some research after my fan quit working & decided to go with this option rather than she'll out a $100 for a new motherboard. The hardest part of the install was to find a location for the contol box.Once I decided on a spot the rest was easy enough. Now I can have the fan run in reverse or forward. Originally it ran as a fan only.I would definitely recommend.

This works well with a 12/24 volt motor with a Ryobi 18 volt battery. Used this to motorize my Fiskars mower Update: reduced the rating because the off position of the switch leaks. The battery drains even in the off position if it remains connected. I solved the issue by using a second switch

Burned out first use under identical conditions to one that is rated for less power works just fine with. Open it up and see the minuscule cheap poorly placed components and youll know just why it failed. Cheaply made junk claiming to be of higher spec than can actually handle. The mostly empty box is supposed to be the heatsink but doesn't even come into contact with the components as it should. Sad. Don't waste your time.
