My son struggles with how to properly hold a pencil, pen, crayon, and so on. I wsd constantly re-directing him to hold it correctly so he could have more control when writing his numbers. This is so easy to slide on and it stays in place once it is on. Then I just show him which fingers go where and then have him write. When you put your fingers in it comes up quite a bit on the finger so it doesn't slide off your fingers or you lose your grip when you write. My son is just starting to learn to write and this has been really helpful to teach him how to hold the pencil.

Didn't work as expected

My son was having a hard time learning to write because he wasn't shown the correct and comfortable way to hold a writing instrument. These writing grips made it simple, comfortable and fun for him to write his letters and words using a pencil. His writing has tremendously improved and is legible! Couldn't be more pleased!! Only thing I would've liked was to be able to place them on dry erase fine tip markers for tracing practice, but the grips don't slide onto the markers. Other than that, they are perfect to help teach your kiddo to write legibly and improve/develop this skill.

These grips are perfect for 2 and 3 year olds learning to write or older children who struggle with holding a pencil properly.

My three-year-old was not wanting to attempt proper grip, so I asked my Auntie, who is a kindergarten teacher. These are what she suggested, said they work well for her kinders. They’ve worked great for him so far! He doesn’t like writing much yet, but I encourage a couple attempts a week to warm him up to the idea, and when he does, he is happier to try with these grips than without them.
