My cat and dog BOTH devour one a day!! Their coats are so soft, and they're both experiencing less scratching and chewing of paws. They must be delicious the way both animals come running when they hear the bag. Based on my animals fur/coat and skin these seem very healthy. One ingredient, what could go wrong? Also they don't smell bad at all, no odor at all ... other products stink like fish, this does not. Great price too!!

OK, Amazon asks you to rate this by "Flavor", "Value for Money", and "Scent". So, flavor... I refuse to taste them, but if I go by the reaction my cats have to them, this is the tastiest stuff that has ever existed on earth. Even my Mr. Picky Eater will crunch on this. Value for money... They're a little pricey, but considering what you get I think they're a good value. It's just salmon, freeze dried into crunchy, puffy, pieces. Nothing else. So if you consider how much salmon there really would be in this little bag if you reconstituted it, plus the effort of freeze-drying it, it's definitely a good value. As for scent, well, it depends on who you ask. To me it smells like a wet wharf on a sunny day, and not in a good way. To the cats it smells like something worth ripping a drawer open to get to, so I went ahead and gave that five stars. I bought some of this at the pet store accidentally a while back, and my two cats went nuts for it. So I just got a big bag to use for training, because it's something I know they like. I wish it was in smaller pieces for the training aspect because I want to give little bits at a time to keep the incentive going; it's in random chunks and you do get a fair bit of fish dust in the bottom of the bag, especially after breaking some of the bigger chunks into cat-sized pieces. But I mean, it's dried fish so how would there not be fish dust? If you've got a cat that's finicky about treats, unless they're weird little fish-haters I think they'll go for this.

This product wasn’t sealed properly, so the salmon was falling out inside the shipping package. It got all over my other items that were in the package. So that was really disappointing. Aside from the technical issue with the packaging, this is a great product. My cat loves these freeze dried chunks. It’s a little on the pricey side. But I love that it’s just legit pieces of freeze dried salmon. It’s refreshing to know that it’s real meat and not a hodgepodge of different ingredients.

The freeze dried salmon is my cat’s absolute favorite treat, so she’d definitely give this a 5 star review! It’s a very high value treat for her. I appreciate that this is a one ingredient treat without all the extra fillers that a lot of brands use to entice cats. I feel better knowing that she loves something that’s more healthy for her. Some of these treats were a bit too big for my cat so I’d have to split them, but they break apart very easily. These are on the pricier end for treats, so it’s not something she gets every day (more so for being good during brushing, nail clipping, etc). I feel like her knowing she gets these afterwards has made her so much more behaved and calm for those times. Also, these have a distinct fish smell, so I’m not sure they’d be for every cat, but if you want to try a new treat, I’d recommend at least giving them a try!

My cat had been eating this treat three times a day for over 5 years. The packages started out fresh, with no bones (?) and it looked and smelled like real salmon. However, about a year or more the packages were coming very dry, lots of bones, as well as hardly a smell too it. Even the look was pale. I continued to feed my cat these treats until last summer. My cat had 2 adominal impactions! Exrays confirmed this. She had been vomiting and would not eat, especially her favorite Whole Life Salmon treats! After seeing the vet, my cat was admitted to the hospital. They put her immediately on IV's and medications. After a week my cat was able to drink and eat again. I started reading some of the reviews here mentioned they too had similar issues and crisis and I knew instantly what to do... Stop feeding her this treat. A week passed after I stopped feeding her this food my cat started feeling better. Now she eats a different brand and all her constant and multiple digestion issues delisappeared.
