Very effective tool
I am an experienced woodcarver with over 40 years of experience using side grinders for carving. I mostly use the chainsaw discs for bulk removal. I used this disc on dry live oak, and it cut it like butter very effective tool. It doesn't grab as aggressively as the chainsaw disc but cuts just as fast. You will need to keep the guard on your grinder and wear face protection as it will throw shards of wood.

GRAFF SpeedCutter Works Like A Champ
I bought this blade to shorten a tree stump that I cut down a couple of years ago; I try to cut stumps short enough that they won't interfere with lawn mowers but this one was tricky; it was on a slightly slanted section of ground and one side was a tad too tall; I could mow over it, but my neighbor apparently uses a lower height setting and would 'clip it' occasionally. You can do costly damage to a lawn tractor, so I trimmed it down to a more ground-following level with this blade. I wasn't sure the blade would work. CAUTION! There IS a 'Learning Curve' with this puppy. People claim that this style blade produces no kickback but I quickly discovered that it has SIGNIFICANT, very difficult to control kickback. Luckily, I was holding it firmly when I touched it to the stump. It is a VERY aggressive blade that wants to dig in and move backward with a lot of force. That's what I meant, saying that this blade has a 'Learning Curve'. I adopted a flatter approach... more like the way you butter a piece of toast. Let the side of the blade contact the wood first. And if you're doing any kind of artistic carving with this blade on a high-speed grinder; I'd advise you to practice a few strokes on a less valuable piece of wood first, get an idea of the forces you're working with. And hold the tool tightly. It's a wonderful tool that will remove a lot of wood, quickly, just be careful, practice 'Tool Safety' and hold on tight. Good Luck.

Eats wood and flesh
This is a monster and excellent addition for your angle grinder ONLY if you are extremely careful!!!! This can be a very dangerous blade! I've been wood working and using my grinder, chainsaw, axe, table saw, skil saw, ect... now for 20+ years without incident and this thing gave me 4 stitches the same day it came in the mail. I had to get into a tight spot in a wall where the previous owner placed plywood instead of sheetrock. Perfect tool for the job, but there was a hidden nail from the other side. I was very slow, careful, and precise with my cut, but when it hit the nail, it felt like the grinder was hit with a sledge hammer. It flew out of my hands, ripped through the electrical wiring, ripped my thick leather gloves and gave me a deep lasting scar all within a second while the grinder was winding down. This is no joke friends. It works where others can't, but you must use face and hand protection. That may not even be enough, but you'll be thankful for those gloves on the way to the emergence room.

This Wheel Takes Care of Business
This monster does the job like right now! I shape oak for art pieces. Before I found out about it, I cut slits in wood and chiseled them out. Wrong. Then I started using a 7 inch circular saw freehand, which is exciting and effective. People stay out of your way. Then a woodworker recommended this tool. Thank you! This wheel works as fast as the circular saw, and for freehand work this wheel cuts more cleanly. Also, with this wheel, a 7 amp grinder doesn't buck wildly and threaten to cut your thigh to the bone. I considered getting a chainsaw grinder wheel. Imagine the possibilities. Find chainsaw wheels right here on amazon. You will also find fairly gruesome pictures of wounds inflicted by grinders with chainsaw wheels. It's this way: you have to take off the safety shield to use a chainsaw wheel, and, well, you get the picture. I did not buy a chainsaw wheel. You have to take off the safety shield with this wheel too, but it's well designed and behaves well. With both hands firmly on the grinder, I feel relatively safe and do my work quickly and fairly accurately. This tool is only for experienced grinder users. I work with steel and I burn through grinders. I've never hurt myself grinding or cutting steel and I don't expect to hurt myself using this wheel carefully on wood. However, if you're relatively new to using an angle grinder, I suggest thinking again. Chaps or whatever won't save you. If this tool slips, there will be blood. There may be other, dedicated tools for rough shaping wood, but for less than $20, you can't beat this simple grinder wheel. Highly recommended. But BE CAREFUL!

Sharp, fit well, and cut as expected!
I got this blade to cut, not very neatly, with using an angle grinder, several protruding 4x4s that were sticking up from a dilapidated deck area. This was so no one would trip over them. The blade did what it said it would do and did it very well. It fit the angle grinder perfectly and was extremely sharp. I used it at a lower cutting speed as stuff was flying all over the place..

Beaver on crystal meth
This thing is awesome. I used it to plane down some annoying tree roots that I'm tired of having to dodge with the mower. It tends to dig in unless you make straight cuts across to the right. Do not use the left side of the blade or the thing will kick back some. From a safety perspective, do not buy this if you don't have a bunch of experience with an angle grinder. This thing could easily seriously injure you. I had to take the guard off my grinder because it wouldn't allow me the right angle on the root. I did use the handle though and I absolutely would not attempt to use it without. Safety glasses are absolutely mandatory as well as gloves... the chips&dust come flying off at warp speed. Very impressed with this thing. I took down quite a few roots. The corner of the carbide nearest the ground is getting dull, so it doesn't face grind as well as it did when new, but it still cuts plenty good. For $15 this thing is a great value. Just be safe.

This product is very effective at shaving down wood planks or boards. It is not subtle, instead it is very aggressive at cutting. You can use it to shave plywood too as long as you don't try to use it on the edges of the plywood sheet. It is so aggressive that the edges of the plywood sheet will splinter. The tool is also a little intimidating compared to most grinder blades but that is what you buy it for and after a few minutes you get used to it.

I've wanted to try power tool carving for some time and have used a grinder for metal, stone etc for years. After much research and seeing a video comparing this disc with the Camelot range I chanced this one and am delighted. The king Arthur etc range and Arbor tech tools are very expensive if you just want to "have a go" and im on a tight budget. I bought a very cheap "chainsaw" type disc first as this would take a while to arrive and I'm impatient! It had no instructions and the kickback was scary so I put it away! This disc arrived sooner than expected and I couldn't wait to try it. It came in proper packaging with printed set of instructions in english. On a certain angle it can grab fiercely but it only took a couple of minutes to get the feel of it and it's a lovely disc to use. With a light touch it will carve cleanly enough that the piece would just need sanding to finish. It's too large to be a precision tool, you'd need a Dremel type tool for that, but I want to try making a few large bowls from oak sections and I think it will do a great job with some practice. It will make a very clean straight cut (i cut the end off a piece of 4x4" post easily) but the real joy of it is how smoothly it carves when used with the disc almost flat to the wood and drawn towards you. If it does grab that way it will move away across your body, not towards you, but if you take the time to feel how it works it won't grab at all. There's no kickback as far as I could tell. It left me dying to crack on and try a bowl and I've already ordered another for when it gets blunt. When used with the care and respect any grinder disc demands, this is a mad fun carving tool!
