Tru Ball Archery Fang GS Release Buckle

Would have given it a 5 star but the wristband is not as comfortable as I hope but it’s ok. Took it out of the package and made no adjustment and shot a couple rounds with it just to kinda see how it feels. After that I put about 50 arrows into the target. Had to make minor adjustments to my sight but did achieve better groups. Very easy to use and won’t slip off D loop. And most important no D loop wear....and it I’d very adjustable.....trigger travel, trigger tension, and over all length....yes the length can be adjusted even though some say it can’t. Dollar for dollar I think it’s the best money I’ve spent on releases...

it is a very nice release takes a bit to get used to because you think it will slip of your loop but it doesn't, The adjusting the spring and trigger is easy but the trigger travel adjustment it seems to not work that good. But when you first get it in the package leave it how it is with the trigger and the adjustments. Just don't mess with trigger travel if you change it more than once it said you needed to use loc-tite but the quality of the buckle is very good.

Would give 5 stars if the length was adjustable like the other two Fang models. They should have made the GS adjustable like Tru Ball Beast and still provide the two trigger options. This is still a great release and think all buyers will be very happy with just would have been nice to have the length adjustment option.

I had never used a hook style release. I have been using it for a month now and really like it. I put in the least sensitive trigger spring as the less sensitive springs are very light release. Nice that you can choose what you like. The length of the release was easily adjustable. No D-loop wear. Should be a great hunting release. Very pleased with my choice .

Was worried about hook grip but holds great and smooth release. Only things don’t like does not lock up when not in use and strap is a bit short and bulky. Do like and sticking with it for now especially for the price.

First off, I purchased the Fang TC from Cabela’s and I didn’t care for the way it connected the trigger mechanism with basically paracord allowing it to tilt at full draw. ( mind you it still worked great, just felt funny ) I wanted the solid bar connection and they didn’t carry it. I bought this Fang GS from Amazon and at first I was unsatisfied. But that was because I thought the bar length adjustment screws were kinda seized in place. In fact I stripped them both . That may because I was using a cheap Harbor Freight allen set. A quick trip to the hardware store to get a stripped screw remover bit, a set off small screws that matched the threads and a proper electronic repair kit ( it had the precise Allen size needed for all the adjustments) and I am set. With that said, after making the adjustments to the bar length and trigger travel and sensitivity, I’m grouping far better. In archery you want the shot to be intentional, but the “exact moment” the shot releases to be a surprise. This is exactly what I’m getting now. Now saying all that, my only main gripe is that it wouldn’t be asking too much for the manufacturer to provide the tiny little precision Allen keys that you don’t usually have on a standard set at home. But again, not a deal breaker because a quick trip to the hardware store for that electronic repair kit will set you straight ......as a man, it was an excuse to buy more tools 😂

Great release and length IS adjustable. There are 2 very small screws on the outer shaft that screw into 2 offset rows of holes on the inner shaft giving adjustment in 1/4" or so increments. It's a very smooth release and definitely helped improve my accuracy. The hook also allows you to use a shorter d-loop.

the best wrist release i have used to date. i have used the following wrist releases: spot hogg wise guy, scott silver horn, scott little goose, and 2 cheapo tru ball release which im not sure the model of either. this release beats them all by leaps and bounds. trigger is comfy and you can make it as light as you like it. it folds back out of the way when climbing a tree and is the perfect length for my hands. i have somewhat large hands. im 73" and always wear an x-large glove.
