Earth Science Pristine Blue (64 oz)

This is a better alternative than chlorine or salt. The pool still needs to be shocked with sodium di-chlor once a week in hot 90 degree plus weather. But it does not constantly reek of chlorine. This is copper based but no it does not turn skin or hair green! I’ve been able to check the pool copper content at spring start up and a week later. Then it is good until winter shut down. If you back wash filters frequently you may need to test the water for copper when refilling water. I use Pristine Blue, Sodium Di-Chlor, Chlorox phosphate remover and a few ounces of algacide once a month and I have a crystal clear pool all summer. I also have a Zodiac MX 8 that runs daily. It keeps the bottom and sides clean and I never have to vacuum. Never! The MX-8 is on a dedicated sand filter. It is an Intex, under $300 on Amazon. It is not self priming for below ground pools. I have it next to the main filter and it does prime after filling with water. It sure beats vacuuming! I use it with an in line leaf canister. Important for Pristine Blue success is to balance the total alkalinity and Ph. These are similar but not the same. And use phosphate remover! I put in a few ounces each month. This system works extremely well is is close to set it and forget it.

I was already familiar with this before purchase. It has worked well in our pool for many years. It is expensive but I have found the total cost of this type of chemistry control and sanitizer is less than chlorine based systems. A plus is that it is never necessary to remove cyanuric acid from your pool. Gives awesome water clarity.

Pristine Blue is the best. It arrived in a timely manner, packages well and does a great job. I would never use anything else in my blue except Pristine Blue.

Most important chemical I use. I add it once a month. Makes for an easy to maintain pool.

I can’t say enough about pristine products best chemicals for the pool ever and my pool has never been cleaner. Highly recommend any and all there products may seem on the pricy side to start but a money saver and clear clean water !
