Durability / Reliability The light fixture itself seems pretty solid and durable. The spring clips are more of a concern for me. Spring kind of easily falls off the retainer holding it to the light but once its in place is fine. Also the spring tension almost seems too strong because when I had to remove a fixture to reposition it the spring almost broke out the drywall. Functionality / Versatility I've installed numerous ceiling lights through the years and by far these are the the easiest - Just 'plug n play'! No can needed, and easily strung together in series. As it turns out they are brighter than I expected for my kitchen so I've added a dimmer switch for versatility. Summary Where have these fixtures been all my life!? I've installed numerous ceiling lights through the years. I only planned to use these in the kitchen, but after seeing results I'm replacing utility room, closets, hallway, shop, etc... High quality, bright light, low energy consumption and cost efficient. I'll be purchasing more.

One of those once in a lifetime perfect purchases. We purchased 60 of these for a whole house renovation. They made me feel good everyday when installing, and when I look at the overall effect (before and after) I could not be happier. They make me feel as if I hit the mother lode for free. They are inexpensive, energy efficient, look great, and install easily. Perfect! I had installed 24 of these in an apartment rental renovation, and loved them so much that I put them in my house. Bonus: they are so forgiving in terms of space utilization, one does not need to worry much about attic rafter spacing...even if you calculate incorrectly (as I did on a few because of gable jacks disrupting the pattern) and drill your hole on a rafter, you can simply rotate the disc so the "spring clips" miss the rafter on a side, or even overlap the rafter putting the spring clips one on each side of the rafter. Try doing that with a can light or any other design for that matter. Wowzer! Tip: Invest in a 4 inch hole saw, attach it to you drill, and cut you installation time dramatically. The hole will be perfectly covered by the trim, and there will be a good chance you won't even need to paint any part of your ceiling. They would be great for new construction or for rehab. Second bonus: None were dead on arrival. Zero defects. I installed with Lutron LED dimmer switches for perfect ambiance...from super dim to stunning brightness. My wife really likes the warmer color range that these 3,000K units produce as opposed to the colder 5,000K or so range you usually find in LED's. Happy wife, happy life.

These lights are bright, slim, and make you feel like you finally live in the 21st century. Super easy to install—no electrician badge required. Great for basements, kitchens, or anywhere you want a little “ooh, fancy lighting” without blowing your budget.

This is my 2nd set They are easy to use. I had a walk in closet that was too dark. I ran the wire above ceiling. I cut the 4 inch holes in the ceiling pushed the junction box up through the ceiling, connected the romex using the supplied wire nuts. Connect the light to the junction box and snapped it into place. 2 light made the 6 x 14 deep closet very bright. I also added one to the ceiling of a walk in shower. I put another 3 in a long hallway. I bought the second set for a bedroom that I am working on. Easy way to put light right where you need it. I did notice that the 2nd set which are identical in rating aren't interchangeable with the first set. Not really a problem because it is easy to replace both should it be needed.

Nice lights . Bought it to replace some that I had that went out . Installed and the same week I had one blinking on and off . When they start blinking then know something is wrong . That is how my other lights went dead after a while. They are used to help indoor plant grow and lighting. Would have been 5 stars if not for the one blinking

A friend of mine had recommended these lights to me since he had recently updated his home and installed these lights all through out his house. I was updating a 3400 sf house and they looked great, affordable and easy to install so I put them in every room.... Pros: They are bright, affordable and easy to install and I didn't have to worry about hitting studs. Cons: The clips that hold them in place break easily and do not always hold them in place very well. I am always having to go push one up tight against the ceiling here and there. The main frustration with these is that they do not seem to last. I have only had them installed for about 4 months and I have already had to replace at least 8 or more. The first couple I replaced were because they flickered really bad when I dimmed them down. A handful of others have just quit working one at a time throughout the house. The bad thing about it is trying to swap them out with blown in insulation. Doesn't matter if you go in the attic and try to scoop away the insulation first, you are still going to make a huge mess. They may be initially affordable but not worth the cost of additional replacements or having to clean up the mess. The friend that referred them to me has had the same trouble and is now replacing all of the disk lights in his house for a second time. I am not looking forward to that. If you have a closet or a space where one or two of these might get you out of a bind, go for it. Otherwise, don't waste your money.

I bought a home that had some Sunco lighting that was 5000K. A few were replaced at purchase and some needed to be replaced. I decided to replace all 10 lights with 3000k. The temperature is perfect. They work great with my dimmer. The install was pretty straight forward.
