I thought this would be "neat" to have. I thought it would add additional comfort while riding long distances. I thought, hell, if the rider had a backrest, shouldn't I (the pilot) have one too?! Well, I installed it, adjusted the seat according to my riding comfort (forward) after the first test drive, then drove it around locally for a little while. I indeed enjoyed the experience, though, hadn't been able to drive hours to see if it would make a difference in comfort over the long-haul. This weekend, I had been experiencing lower back discomfort every morning. I decided to ride my bike to a conference only 40 minutes from my house. Though I as experience lower back discomfort, IMMEDIATELY, while riding the bike, my back was fully supported and the lower back discomfort was completely relieved! As soon as I got off the bike, once again, I felt the discomfort in my lower back (bummer). I simply could not believe the relief and support this backrest provided. While driving, it feels as though I'm in a cockpit of a fighter jet. The entire experience of riding is different. I am noticing I need to make a few adjustments/considerations to my riding style. For example, being slightly forward, I was having a tendency to somewhat push on the handlebars while driving straight and thus, having a slight effect on my steering in corners. After recognizing this, I was able to make the cognizant/physical adjustment on how I was interacting with the handlebars. I feel much more in control of the bike while driving overall. I no longer have to grip strongly to support myself during fast acceleration. The backrest does all the supporting, allowing my hands to more freely control the clutch, throttle and steering during acceleration. Final thoughts; I love this addition/upgrade to my bike! I would never go back! This is a well developed/designed accessory that is extremely affordable and easy to install. I would recommend to anyone who desires an instant upgrade in pilot comfort and support as well as increased control of their bike under any circumstances/situations.

Comfortable, adds more stability to the ride and allows you to put more enjoyment in a long ride. 2 up rider has no problem mounting and dismounting because of the adjustable backrest. Install took less than 30 minutes, no issues with fit at all, I highly recommend..

The installation is very easy. I would rate installation a 2 with 1 being the easiest and 5 being the hardest installation. The three position adjustable feature is fair at best. Which is why I rate this at a 3 out of five stars for comfort. I had to make my own alterations to the seat back angle to make it more comfortable for ME. It may very well be fine for you. I have Scoliosis and the curvature of my back makes finding the perfect back rest out of the box difficult, so don't take my rating as meaning it won't be comfortable for YOU. Good fit, easy install. Chrome appears to be good quality.

Installed in less than 10 minutes. Great back support. Easy to remove if needed. Seemed to be good quality at first but zipper bag on rear faded within a few months and really looks terrible. The zipper bag should have been made of the same material as the front. Kinda misleading as nothing states the rear is made of cheap dyed cloth.

Looks nice on my 2007 Goldwing. Had to replace my seat with a new seat which had a rider seat back that attached with a hole cut into the seat. Due to it having heated seat did not want to take a chance to goof up the headed part I decided to go with this. Looks nice and works.

If you've ever had any back issues, you gotta try this. It really helped my lower back. It doesn't get sore anymore.
