After my glass Pyrex baking dish "exploded" after having it more than 10 years, I was skeptical about buying ANYTHING Pyrex. No, they're certainly not our grandmother's Pyrex dishes -- I guess like anything else, the quality has diminished over the years, but exploding cookware isn't something to be taken lightly. Besides the aggravation of cleaning up the mess, there is also the considerable danger to people and pets when it happens. And although I read the reviews for this item before purchasing, I decided to buy it anyway. I also believe the best way to avoid explosions is to ensure there is always liquid in the dish, which had all evaporated when my first dish exploded. The covers fit the dishes perfectly and I've used them a few times before writing this review. I've got to admit, though, I'm constantly checking the dishes in the oven to make sure liquid is in them, keeping my fingers crossed that I don't experience another Pyrex explosion. I would've given a 5-star review, but the possibility of breakage while cooking prevented me from doing so.

Pyrex is 100 year old company with an excellent name, it has had a spot in most of the american homes for a long time. The one thing that you might not know about Pyrex is that is an american company and only manufactures in the USA where they produce 50 million pieces of their glassware a year. I have read many of the reviews saying they shatter. It is important to note the date a review was written, if there was a problem it is most likely the manufacture has fixed the issue by the time you are buying. I noticed the one getting the most read on the shattering issue was written in 2012 !I have been using my Pyrex pans for a year. I love the easy grab when putting in and taking out of the oven. I have not had one problem with shattering or splitting lids. I have even taken one of the pans from the freezer to oven without a problem. The lids have never been an issue for me either, they are not splitting and are always put into the dishwasher along with the pan they cover.

It looks as though it was marked on the production line but they forgot to pull it before boxing. I did not return the piece because it does not affect the useability of the dish. Pyrex is made so that if a chip occurs, it will not compromise the integrity of the rest of the product. My other problem is that the handles make the dish a lot longer than previous versions of this dish. I cannot fit the small fish in my toaster oven despite other dishes of the same capacity fitting just fine.I would recommend this product but took off one star for the obvious defect and another star for the length.

When my item arrived it had some broken pieces. Upon contacting the seller they were fair and helpful in making the problem right. I am pleased with the item. The lids are a harder plastic and not a pliable material as I had expected, but with be perfect for what I wanted.

I love this product even though after a while lids become loose but that’s wear & tear. We use it for storage of prep food, don’t like plastic and can go from fridge to microwave or oven without the hazle.

I was quite pleased when I came across this two pack. I've yet to be disappointed by the quality of Pyrex products and I felt that being able to purchase two casserole dishes for under $20 was a nice deal. One thing that initially put me off about them was the unusual design of the plastic lid, but after one use with the 3qt oblong made me realize that it does a good job of what it was designed for. Keeping things in. They do tend to sit fairly close to the top of the casserole, if you are making something that fills the dish and is particularly messy, you may want to keep that in mind. In general, I'm happy with the purchase.

I've owned and used Pyrex baking pans for years, and have been extremely satisfied with all of them ... until this purchase. The pans themselves are great, as most Pyrex items are, but the lids for these are absolutely horrible. After just a couple trips in the dishwasher (top rack, of course) they warp to the point where they don't provide a good seal on the dishes anymore. So much so that i've taken to using aluminum foil or saran wrap to cover the dishes if I make something bring along to a party or event.If you're in the market, do yourself a favor and buy the model where the lid goes all the way around the outside of the pan, and not these "easy grab" ones.

i miss the old pyrex, but the new pyrex is still a great product in my opinion. After a friend melted the lid to my old pan, I had to buy a new one. I wish you could just buy the lid, but I settled on these. A little more than I wanted to spend, and when I got them I was a little underwhelmed because the lids did not fit as perfectly as I wanted. But, one quick call to Pyrex customer service, and they sent me new lids. I give them 5 stars because being on hold for under 5 mins with great customer service is practically unheard of these days. The old lids were better, but the handles on these are convenient. Pyrex is all around greatness--oven, freezer, dishwasher, doesnt scratch or dent

The handles are a nice touch. I have the old style without the handles but they really are an improvement. The lids are great too. These will be very useful for pot luck dinners and storing food in the fridge. Too bad they aren't oven proof.

These are solid. The cover is well made, the glass is very good. The added handlebars on the sides are a huge plus for handling. I use this all the time in the oven and it works great. Cleans easy too because it's just glass!

I really like pyrex glassware and I love the lids for them, you can store food easily and bring your food around with the lids
