Fishers Finery 25 Momme Pure Mulberry Silk Sleep Eye Mask with Adjustable Strap (Black)

I’ve been using the same black eye mask to sleep for over ten years. I purchase from Amazon and have been very happy. Not until I purchased the pillow cases-which I’ll leave a Five Star review on another post, did I realize how mediocre of be settling for. This mask is so soft and thick and created no pressure on the eyes what’s so ever. I like how they cover from the forehead down to the eyes vs. just covering eyebrows to eye socket bone. The two prong strap around your head I was really on the fence, but boy this is truly why/where this works. No more sideways, down around my mouth, or completely fallen off. The packaging appears to be very high end, (think boutique) with complete washing instructions. I was so happy, I bought a second one and will pass this information on to my sisters, and friends as they are nurses who have a hard time falling asleep, and staying asleep. No more melatonin, or black out shades, drapes and scotch tape to keep an inkling of light out. I’m an RN, wife, mom, and grandmother. And this is NOT a paid review. I want you to be happy like I am.

I bought this for my wife as she is very sensitive to light in the bedroom. She loved it from the minute she placed it over her eyes and lay down in bed. The silky inside makes it very comfortable. The little rolled up "pillow" at the bottom of the eye mask does not let a single ray of light enter and the head straps adjust so gently she's hardly aware they are in place.She says that they eye mask has given her the best sleeps of her life!

Not sure why a few say it doesn’t block light because it seems to do so for me. Really like it. Got to use both in the hospital and in sleep lab where lights are on constantly. Works fine with my CPAP mask and rests well under the upper part of the mask. Please follow directions on care. I hand wash in cool water with silk wash, and do not twist, wrong, etc., then wrap in thick towel and lay over a towel on the shower bar or leave on the counter top resting in a dry towel to dry. Silk is exceptionally strong when dry, but not so when wet. This is a light and small product so not a issue.

Lovely soft material and it does decrease wrinkles in the morning when you wake up as long as it stays on. The white color is nice since it's not dyed but it's not as dark and the black one. I would recommend this product though. Very soft and comfy material.

! I am a repeat purchaser. I'm a huge Fishers Finery Fan, having purchased not only this mask but several pillowcases as well. Purchased another brand which was 22 Momme Silk but was single sided silk fabric, the reverse side was rough... wasted $$. I put the mask in a lingerie bag to machine wash, and hang to dry. I rotate and wash them regularly and have experienced no wear in fabric. I also have one reserved in my suitcase for travel. I always order black... in my mind it's more light blocking. The silk covered elastic back strap is comfortable and easy on hair... some masks have velcro which ultimately pulls and tangles in my hair. Some have elastic bands (yuck) which are hard on hair cuticles, and others have a clip or fastener which is difficult to sleep on.

It’s really soft, quality is better than others but the plastic tightening piece is so uncomfortable and pokes out, I can’t lay my head flat. So this would be good for side or stomach sleepers. I tried it for a few months but found myself waking up with headaches

Very happy. Nice heavy Momme weight doll that isn’t too hot. Does a good job blocking light and is very comfortable. The straps are attached at four points instead of two to avoid putting pressure on the eyes. Considering getting a spare to keep in my travel bag.

I was excited to find a sleep mask that looked comfortable and was practical as well. I got it in a reasonable time frame. The mask was soft and lightweight as advertised. The problem lay in the band around the back. If you have a smaller head or hair that isn't thick there should not be an issue. I have thick hair and the band was too tight, even on the loosest setting. The band was painful and had no stretch or give to it. I will be returning it.
