Bought these for a house on the beach, for dryer vents. Worked out good, vents still look good in the salt air, no rust spotting at all. They come with screws and a foam seal. Sized correctly to fit a 4" dryer vent. The flappers work as I tended, being pushed open when the dryer is on. Since it is metal the flaps are heavy enough to close, before being blow right back open 2 seconds later. This creates a noise similar to a steam train, as the vents blow open and slap shut every few seconds. Nothing wrong with the design, just the way it is. In our case the clients vents are behind the garage out of ear shot. If your vent is close to a open window, or pool area maybe, the noise may be annoying, and I would suggest using a fixed vent with a screen. Otherwise a good product, looks like it will last.

This vent worked perfectly for a replacement and was easy to install. The steel and construction is excellent quality and will outlast the cheap plastic vent that came with the house. It does make a clicking sound though when the exhaust vents out and this could be just the way the dryer blows the air through the ducting because the air pressure isn’t constant. This really doesn’t matter to us because we can’t hear it in the house. I am happy that the vent shutters closed and stays that way even on very windy days and that it looks great on the outside wall.

I love the appearance and usefulness of this vent cover. I had to remove the bottom flap to allow lint to fit through without clogging. I would have given it 5 stars, however it makes a noise when it flaps open and closed as the dryer runs making it sound like a ticking noise.

I hope this lasts longer. The plastic ones in the sun last only a year or two. After 3 years they turn to chalk. These cannot be any worse. Better yet, they have spring clips on the outside. My 4" vent pipe is permanently installed. I cannot fit anything over the outside. The plastic ones now available are meant to go over the outside. Years ago they went on the inside. To use a new one I have to cut it off flush. This one fits inside perfectly. The only thing I do not like is the fins are very light and flutter. They make a lot of noise. I hope this does not shorten the life. Update: It did last longer than the plastic ones. I cleaned it several times. The last time I bent the fins. As noted, before they are very thin. Probably my fault they got damaged. Also, it never did really quiet down until it got mostly plugged.

so much better than the original plastic one that everyone sells, will never buy those again because they turn brittle so fast in the sun. That should not be a problem with this one. Be careful of sharp edges, and i added a wire mesh inside to prevent birds from getting inside. Vent covers are connected together and can not be removed since they are spot welded to the frame. My wall is brick, so i didn’t use the rubber seal or wood screws and just hot glued it in. works so nicely and no messy caulk. will also be able to remove in future without the mess. On high fan, the covers open about 15 degrees and about 5 degrees when on low. Would have preferred a bigger angle opening, but it seems to get the job done. overall nice product that should last a long time.

I'll give it points for being reasonably well constructed, good venting, and being made of stainless steel, but it is incredibly NOISY! When in operation the flaps constantly open and close making a rhythmic banging sound. I suspect this can be remedied with some well placed silicone bumpers.

Definitely an upgrade over the plastic louvered vent I replaced. What’s really great are the clips around the connection to secure the vent cover to the dryer tube.

Do not buy unless you plan on spending a day to modify it. You'll likely throw it away or return it otherwise. Complete piece of garbage. I had to spend a day heavily modifying it to get it to work on any acceptable level. As noted by a lot of other reviewers, it's super loud. I fixed that part by using silicone to attach weights to stabilize the flaps so they no longer bang against each other constantly. The dimensions are completely wrong. I also had to trim down the flanged edges to get it to fit where it was needed. If it was the size they claim in the photo, then it would have fit over the area I needed it to completely. A couple simple changes, even if they charged a little more for it, would make a world of difference. They should also change the picture with the dimension to show the real ones.

奥行きに注意ですね。 我が家の風呂場換気扇用換気口には長すぎでした。 元々ポン付は期待してなかったのですが、一旦溶接箇所を外して奥行き調整のためのグラインダーで 切除作業を行う必要があり現在分解、加工中です。

Saubere Verarbeitung. Da die Lamellen etwas schwerer sind als Kunststoff, klappern Sie nicht so schnell bei Wind. Die Optik ist schöner als aus Kunststoff.

Grille de ventilation commandée pour une rénovation de cuisine, et rien à redire. Le diamètre 150 mm correspond parfaitement à ce que je cherchais, et l’inox brossé donne un rendu propre et moderne. Le matériau est de bonne qualité, résistant à l’humidité, donc parfait pour une installation en intérieur ou extérieur. La pose a été simple, les trous de fixation sont bien placés. Une fois installée, elle tient parfaitement et ne vibre pas. Excellent rapport qualité-prix pour un produit aussi bien fini. Je recommande sans hésiter !

Excellent pour moi, produit bien fini, le joint en périphérie épouse bien le mur. Je n'ai pas eu besoin des vis de fixation, j'ai écarté un peu les pattes pour que la grille soit serrante dans mon tube d'évacuation de 150mm de diamètre. Les volets s'ouvre parfaitement suivant le débit de ma hotte et se referment sans écart restant.Très content 👍
