Great for the price.
Got it for about $50 on sale and no regrets here. It’s not the most intuitive to use, but most scanners aren’t. Updating the firmware was a bit cumbersome since you have to use a PC to download the file. But for simple OBD code reading and clearing it works well. Not intended to read advanced DTCs like ABS or SRA codes but will read any check engine code. Saves you a trip to the auto parts store and having to deal with the limited capabilities.

Works as intended
Works as advertised, codes are easy to understand, clear backlit screen. Should be compatible with most models, was able to clear a code from my dashboard with no issue.

Obd2 scanner
My first scanner, with that being said it is easy to use. Accurate with a good display, easy to connect, functions as it should. All at a good price. Instructions are useless. So far so good.

very useful equipment
I always wanted a device like this that I could use without any complications, and I finally found the best one... easy to use and understand... I liked it.

Well but affordable with good features and great customer support
Great value and quality built (so far) Manual that is included is small and vague and not very useful but I went online and you can download and print if you want a very good user manual that explains operations much clearer and there you can check and update your software version if needed but this one already had the updated version I like the rubberized cover nice and compact and the display is okay but could be a little bigger There is a bit of a learning curve but the online downloadable website manual helped tremendously I emailed customer service with a question and received a reply in under 24 hours that is impressive I’ve never used one of these before but right now it seems to be a very good product and I’d recommend it

Paid for itself the first day and many times over
I own a small business with a hard driven 10-car fleet. Not a "car guy" going in, I quickly figured out that I better learn to DIY all I could or I wouldn't last long. Got this scanner for around $60 and it paid for itself in under 3 days. Day after it arrived, engine light popped up on one 9f the cars. It took me a total of maybe 20 minutes to scan the code, google it, watch a short YT video of the repair, order the $15 part on Amazon, and then change it out when it was delivered the next day. Dozens of similar scenarios since then. OBD-II code + internet = self reliance = power and options. Even if you won't DIY, getting codes and researching before walking into a shop gives you a huge advantage. The battery test function is better than the actual more expensive battery tester I bought before this, and the datastream capability is very useful for monitoring and troubleshooting some issues. Every negative review I saw here was a mistaken expectation. This scanner does have a small database of generic possible causes for each code but it's not vehicle-specific or comprehensive. Isn't supposed to be. If you want a scanner to serve you full specific detail on a silver platter, you need to spring for a beefier (and more complicated) scanner. With this one, get the code, google it along with the year/make/model of the car, and you'll be pointed to all the info you need. Another complained that they cleared the code with the scanner but the code came back the next day so the scanner doesn't work. Made me choke on my coffee. Newsflash, no scanner will fix whatever is generating a code. That is your job. Someone else included a photo of a clearly broken display and complained that it stopped working after 2 months. This unit is sturdy enough but if you step on it or drop a hammer on it or use it as a hammer, yeah that'll probably finish it for good. I've had mine going on 3 years. It's used a few times a month, been dropped on concrete more than a few times, and it otherwise lives full commando in my trunk or on the floor of my backseat, and it has never failed me. Highly recommend.

does what is says it will do, with live data and graphing, died in 2 weeks
Pros Originally 5 stars, until it stopped working This is accurate described by its advertising. OBD2 scanner for codes, has a library of codes to show what it is, resets MIL, shows live data, shows freeze frame data, does a basic battery check. Ignore the other 'features' because its current functions are all part of basic OBD Generic codes that is mandatory for US car emissions. The only different item is the battery test. Large clear bright color screen with tight pixels, larger buttons, fast response, instant boot is a reason to select this over the lower models of Ancel, which are identical functionally, but with older LCD screen designs ... battery test is nice to have to not necessary I compared the values of live data vs an Innova 5610 and the data is nearly identical .. e.g. rpm, fuel trims, 02S etc., as a check on the reading accuracy, as well as bat voltage readings against my multimeter and rpm vs tach of my car well built and packaged Cons cannot print or save data despite saying on ads and menus very obtuse desktop software worked very well, but froze and died after 2 weeks of heavy use, my backup unit still works well for same period Cannot save data once disconnected from car buttons are not lit, so hard to see if working in car and dark While YMMV on durability
