The Strength In Our Scars

I have had this book for 2 years now and when I tell you, this is my go to when I need strength, courage and to simply get out of bed. I bought it in 2022 I thought it would be a read and put away book never to look back again. I Never re-read books. but this one It comes with me everywhere I go in my bag. these are short verses that are empowering to any individual healing through a tough time. They are not repetitive very unique. Thank you for sharing your heart in this book.

This book is simply AMAZING, brought tears to my eyes many times because I related to the words she's written. It's been a VERY long 16 years for me: from being diagnosed with epilepsy, so much medications, people leaving my life just because of my "invisible" yet chronic illness, to my recent brain surgeries to try to fix it because I thought and felt I was broken. I've recently discovered how much of an impact my past has made in my life, as well as the crucial family dynamics and miscommunication. So called friends have left just because of my illness and the one I have has changed since I've opened up to her about a lot of things, but that's okay. I'm used to it and accept it because it's MY journey. I'm thankful to her in many ways.... Long story short like she says at one point," YOU ARE NOT WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH!" I'm told I'm overly sensitive, but I've been too strong holding Soo much inside for so many years it's okay to not always be okay. We're only humans and will never be perfect, but as long as YOU know who you are and forgive sincerely forgive and not hold back, it will change your life for the better. This book has allowed me to see things I didn't see despite things I already knew and agreed with. Her words resonate with me still and will forever. I have to admit, I feel a lot less heavier after this book. EVERYONE MUST READ THIS!! Thank you, Ms. Sparacino ❤️

It’s such a good book for anyone really. it helps you and reminds you that you’re not the only one going through difficult times

OKAY I JUST HAVE TO COMMENT ON THE PACKAGING!!! FINALLY SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT BOOKS!!! Anytime I order a book online I am super skeptical, because they ALWAYS come damaged. I couldn’t find this book in any stores around me, so I had no choice but to order online... HOWEVER FOR ONCE I AM SO PLEASED!!! I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY RIGHT NOW AND EVEN MORE EXCITED TO READ THIS!! This might sound like such a stupid review, but if you are a fellow book lover hopefully you understand my rant and will appreciate this small detail too LOL. THANK YOU!!! YAY SO HAPPY!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

Lovely poetry. I loved the messages and stayed up reading them. Even my mom stole the book and told me how much she liked it. Only issue was that the cover had some indents, pages has some marks and sometimes the words were off centered. Not a huge issue for me, but for others it may be.

So beautifully healing! Every adult struggling with life needs to read this! Absolutely love how the author reiterates in a gentle yet empowering way to “stay soft”. I also can’t agree more with the author that it is a shame that today’s society perceives being soft and gentle as weak; because that is in fact the hardest thing to stop the “domino of hurt”, to not let the cruelty of this world turn you into something you’re not, and to be able to love, give and believe as if you’re still an innocent child. We’ve built many walls through life, but we also have the power to melt them all, stay soft, stay gentle, and be the reason someone else believes in light in this world.

Got one, read it. Bought another & gifted it to my younger sister. It has some perspectives well worth reading.

I use to be very ashamed of my scars but not talking about them. This book made me very comfortable with acknowledging your own scars. Not be ashamed of them but to let them motivate you to find the strength in what the scars did.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. It takes your thinking to a whole new level, it's so deep, yet such an easy read. It opens your mind to so much. The world needs more books like this. An absolute must-read.
