absolutely awesome product for my Johnny 5 model project, once paired with a good mini speaker it gives clean crisp sound, the only downside is it doesn’t have a play once option and wished it could handle more power (as ive burned through a couple lol) but in all good cheap audio boards for projects

Oh wow, this was perfect! I wanted something to play an mp3 ( in a loop once triggered ) and that's exactly what it did without me having to change any default settings.

Good little MP3 player. shame it doesn't come with any guidance on the sockets. Would also like a wired speaker. however still worth the money

Great little module. Put a SD card in and it just plays on power up. The quality seems good. You cant easily select a file though, its use is for something like music on hold or for sound effects. As an engineer I would also warn the output is not filtered very well. IE along with the audio theres a load of high frequent digital noise, you cant hear it but it might affect some amplifiers.

Fabulous little device. I connected it up and popped in a micro SD card, and off it went. Mysteriously the volume controls seem to be reversed on mine, but they work well. Really pleased with it 😃

When wired up and power is applied it comes straight on and plays, I’m not saying it can’t be done but you can’t play say a track list and choose your audio order to come on when u drag the files on usb it seems to play random and when power is disconnected and connected again it plays the beginning of the last song that was played, not really for playing song quality isn’t that great as there is no way to dial up and down bass treble etc(amp) req, but for what I needed it for is great, just missing holes to screw it down

Very cheap, delivered by prime in 10 hours. Basic features plays from usb stick on power up with no programming. Just stick a Fat32 usb stick in and power up to play mp3 automatically. Ideal for props etc. Only slightly annoying thing is it it doesn’t remember the volume setting after power up. I want it loud so had to modify to do this

I have used this to make ambient sound box for my model railway and it works well. The mp3 players sound level is fixed approx midway, which was not a problem for me as I wanted background sounds only, though I still wired in a 10K AUDIO Potentiometer to reduce the sound level further. However if you did want it louder then you would have to extend the two volume momentary switches to the front of you panel using some suitable panel mount switches (soldering required). They use micro SD cards and the units start up as soon as they get power. I have linked 4 together with 4 speakers and they all start at the same time (so you could have sound travelling around the layout if required) separated with on/off switches . Neat little MP3 unit with output for speakers (mono) and headphones. So just add power: 5v, micro sd: 4GB (I put in 8GB but was only using approx 2.5mb mp3 for approx 18mins of sound) and speakers: 4w and your away. Update: When switched off the sound level seems to revert down to the lowest setting so I have installed a mini pre-amp board to the output of each off the mp3 players, which seems to have solved the problem of the low volume, which can't be increased when installed in an enclosed case.

For my application, where I need to play one sound on repeat this is great, real plug and play, so I can put it in an airtight enclosure without any switches or buttons needed to access. Hopefully it won't brake too soon. I connected it to a 30W tweeter speaker, as the sound I need is pretty high frequency. Works fine, louder playback as from any mobile phone. Will try with specified 3W speaker when I'll have one. Device will be powered from 12V battery trough a stepdown converter which will be operated with 12V photocell switch, so that playback can be started when it gets dark (or light). Easy to automate with simple light switch module just because there is no need to press ANY buttons for this player to start playing. Only bad thing - I ordered 12 pieces and they were packed about 8 separete packages mostly containing just one module and I have to meet the delivery man so many times. And just a note - volume level on auto start is about 85%, I would prefer it to be on 100%. For my application it would be easier to lower the volume in file, if needed.

Solo se entrega el circuito impreso con sus componentes soldados, pero no se entrega ninguna documentación. Tampoco fue posible encontrarlo en internet. Es una lotería alimentarlo sin conocer el voltaje ni tampoco la impedancia y watios del altavoz. Fue devuelta por ese motivo

J ai fabriqué un petit Walkman pour ma maman qui est malvoyante mais le problème est qu'après quelques utilisations il ne fonctionne plus ( variations faites des piles et du casque) j'ai bien utilisé une micro sd de 16go comme précaunisé Le voyant clignote mais plus de lecture de la carte

Fa quello che deve fare senza se e senza ma. Lo uso per far partire all'avvio un loop audio da diffondere in una sala di un museo. Alimentazione 5V USB non inclusa ma facilmente reperibile.
