BFBAFFLE Plastic Squirrel Baffle, Transparent, 40 x 19 x 40 cm

I have been fighting a one sided battle with my local squirrels for decades, but they have, until now, managed to outwit me. The fitting and assembly of this baffle were easy. The collar which attaches to your pole has three interlocking, varying diameter rings; internal diameters of 12.5mm, 23mm and 26.5mm. You select the nearest diameter above the diameter of your pole. I found it necessary to pad out my pole with a couple of turns of Gorilla tape to fit snugly inside the 23mm ring. The rings are keyed, so they are self-aligning, which make fitting the metal securing thumb bolt a doddle. Within hours my squirrels had realised that the softish plastic of the threaded ring (top right in my image) could be chewed through. I contacted "Nature's Market" and within 48 hours they had sent me a replacement with a suggestion of coating it with squirrel deterrent product - I have used curry powder and this does the job. I thoroughly recommend this product and "Nature's Market"

After several squirrel proof feeders had been trashed by them I decided to buy this baffle. I read all the reviews and went ahead. It was put straight away and to my delight I had a very entertaining afternoon watching attempt after attempt of the squirrels trying to bypass the baffle. I have had this baffle for 18 months now and it hasn't been defeated yet. Yes they chewed the plastic screw but the metal screw has survived till now and is showing no signs of deterioration. On the reviews I saw that some said it doesn't work, well it wont if you put the bird feeder near a wall, tree or any object that the squirrel can jump from and bypass the baffle. My feeder is in the middle of the garden and has nothing near it. I have a wonderful collection of birds coming to my feeder and the squirrel still gets some titbits from the energetic woodpecker and nuthatch that shoots bits of nuts all over the place. This baffle was definitely worth the money.

This is extremely effective for keeping the little critters away from your birdfeeders.

I am really pleased with the squirrel baffle. It is very good value for money, is sturdy and was very easy to assemble. It arrived promptly, so I was able to set it up quickly and stop the army of squirrels pillaging the bird food. Works a treat! Thank you, Nature's Market :)

After a week the squirrels have still not figured a way to get past the mysterious 'force field' preventing them from getting to the bird feeders. A splendid device. Just make sure your feeder is well away from trees or other 'squirrel bridges' and your birds will feed uninterrupted. Great value for money :)

It has done the trick. The squirrels can't reach the bird food. They were puzzled at first. You must keep it away from any bushes or trees. As they will try and jump onto it. It's a great perch for the pariketes and other large birds when they feed. Really strong and a good size dome.

In the past grey squirrels found it all too easy to climb our bird feeder's pole. This baffle has lived up to its name, and well and truly baffled our unwelcome visitors. The plastic dome is easily fitted by selecting the insert appropriate to your feeder's pole, sliding it up or down the pole and locking in place with the thumb screw - a five minute job. When next the squirrel visited, he (or she) climbed the pole until he found himself under the dome, then slid down, appeared to survey the problem and then departed. The same thing happened once more, and we've not seen him since. A great success.

It looks a good sturdy item. Unfortunately even with all the inner rings removed it doesn't fit my stand -so it's been left in a rather unconventional diagonal way and is waiting to be removed. it does however baffle the squirrels in that position so presume it dos when it fits the pole too. Check the diameter of your feeder.
