This brand is more vertically challenged than other brands
this is pump is the cheapest i could find but it is only capable of pushing water 3ft or so vertically above it. Rule brand pumps can push up vertically 12 ft which is significantly better at double the cost of this. 3ft doesn't cut it for my application, so this goes into the trash bin. If you have a less challenging application this may be enough.

Excellent small pump
This pump has the perfect amount of power to be used for a portable watering system that I put into a wagon with a large container. I operate with a lithium iron phosphate battery and it gives me perfect flow and mild pressure for deep watering in flower beds that are not near a hose bib.

Personal Best for my application
Use these pumps to circulate brine solutions. 7 years of using different pumps doing 15 minutes on and 2 hours off cycles. These have performed best and average 1.5 years of life, create the least amount heat, compact design, great flow, and low voltage is safe around water. They get noisey for a while before failure letting you know something is a miss.

Built to last, have been running non stop for over 2 weeks
Have had it fully submerged and running a 250 gallon bait well for 2 weeks now with no issues. Was a little worried about the pumping getting beat up while bouncing around in the bottom of the tank but the pump still looks new seems to be built well. Pushes the water good and has kept the bait alive. I’ve got it hooked to a 105ah battery with a 2amp maintainer and haven’t had any power issues. Much cheaper than other pumps of lesser quality. Would recommend if looking for a bait well pump.

Great pumps.
I use them for my solar powered outdoor ebb and flow hydroponics table. Running 24/7 I got 8 months out of one. Currently I'm on my 2nd and its only flooding 2 times a day for 10 min a run and been going solid all summer.

Can barely lift 4 feet, cannot lift 6 feet.
on flat ground, this pump works quite well. If you have a VERY small boat, it would probably work well. Very low power drain means it can run a long time without depleting your battery. Unfortunately, it just can't lift very high. I bought it to recirculate water through my truck radiator to clean it out. With a bucket on the ground, the pump had a VERY hard time lifting the water up over the grill and into the top of the radiator. It only started to work better when I placed the bucket on a table next to the truck and brought the radiator drain hose UP and OVER the bucket to help siphon the water back to the bucket. Overall, this seems to be a good pump with sufficient flow for may a live well, but as a bilge pump it just doesn't meet the advertised 9-foot lift.

Tried a few others to use for a live bait tank on the boat and this is the best one
