Used to hold up a dog kennel roof made of chipboard with asphalt shingles. I was concerned the lifts would be too stiff but they do a wonderful job. Easy to install once you figure out the compression range. Nice item and great service.

I was never gonna trust a gas strut to hold my bed up, so I knew I would make something to help prop it up once lifted. All I needed was help raising my extremely heavy, hard to move memory foam mattress with my 20lb weighted blanket on it. They were easy to install and now we can have under bed storage in our rv (didn’t have a lift before). It does NOT hold my bed up, but I didn’t need it too. It does NOT let the plywood only stay closed without something sitting on it. These were inexpensive and do exactly what I needed them to do for me. I use pvc to prop bed up once lifted.

Great price, great quality as I can tell. No instructions or specs. Total length and individual part length provided but travel, throw and install specs nowhere to be found. Ended up mounting them at full extension with door full open and they work great. The door is probably 100lbs and it takes over at 1/2 travel and stays open.

I purchased these struts for a heavy duty lift-top router table that I built. The struts are all metal and include sturdy brackets with all necessary hardware. The seller followed up my purchase by sending installation instructions via email. Installation was quick and easy -- just make sure that the mounting screws go into strong material, since the struts are under heavy pressure. Once installed, my router table top is easily lifted with finger pressure. A true bargain at under twenty dollars.

We have 2 cabinets that have top mount doors, which need to be held by hands while being used. The struts we ordered were carefully packaged with clear directions and all the necessary tools for easy installation. Once these were installed, the doors could stay open on their own until we close it. They work like a charm. It’s nice to have free hands for what I need to do instead of holding the cabinet doors. Highly recommended.

Seems like a good product, but wasn’t an exact replacement for the ones I was replacing

Easy to install and work perfectly for the hinged roof of my tortoise houses. I wanted something to lighten the weight of the roof for opening and closing and to hold it open during cleaning. These are doing a great job. They were very easy to install though the directions make it seem complicated. Just install with the lid open to the point you want it to open to and you're good to go.

The struts are ok...but the brackets have huge holes! The struts have 1/4" shafts...and the provided mounting screws are even smaller in diameter....But the holes in the brackets are 1/2"...all 3 holes! It looks like they ran out of the correct brackets and used these much larger ones as a substitute ...and then put some washers in the package that barely cover the huge holes. If you use these...it will clunk every you use it because the struts flop in the huge bracket holes......If you do not have the correct part China...don't send the product! Put my project behind because I now have to get another set from someone else.

My son built me a garbage storage shed and these struts are the perfect fit.

Used these for a heavy door. Works great so far.

It’s rated to hold up 120 lbs or more by using the pair but it took two to hold up a lid weighing only 20 lbs. Clearly misleading. I couldn’t use it where I wanted to because if the incorrect rating. Very disappointed.
