These Polar brisling sardines have become a regular staple for me. The fish are small, tender, and very clean tasting, with none of the strong or fishy flavor people usually worry about. Being smoked and packed in olive oil gives them a rich, savory taste without overpowering the natural flavor of the sardines themselves. I like these especially for their omega 3 content. They’re an easy way to add high quality fats and protein to meals without any prep. I eat them straight from the can, add them to salads, or pair them with simple vegetables. The olive oil is mild and complements the fish well instead of masking it. The quality is consistent across the pack, and the portion size is satisfying without being excessive. If you’re looking for a clean, nutritious seafood option that tastes good and doesn’t feel processed, these are a great choice. Update: Last two times I purchased these sardines, herring arrived instead. Please correct this.

My very favorite sardines for everyday use. Love them with a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of fresh ground pepper and salt, or crisped up in a skillet and eaten as a quick nibble, or even a super quick bisque with a bit of broth, some cream, a few herbs and some lemon, whizzed until smooth and heated through….so quick and delicious after a long day of cold drizzle. All so satisfying and healthy! I used to eat them on crackers with a dab of sour cream or mustard but discovered that I can’t eat most grains but you probably can! Try it like that and they are irresistible! Some of the lovely Portuguese and Spanish tinned fish are the very best but the price is pretty spendy. These are a great alternative for those of us that love sardines that are firm, delicate in flavor and affordable. I’m not a paid sponsor, just a dedicated fan! I highly recommend these!

I generally like sardines but these are the absolute best in terms of sardines. Smokey and delicious. I’m pregnant so I want that DHA and omega 3s for my baby’s health and this is an easy and enjoyable way to get it in. I eat them straight; with crackers, sometimes in salad. You can’t go wrong.

The sardines taste great! I like the mild smoky flavor. They’re easier for me to eat than unsmoked sardines. The only thing I’d change is the tail fin, I’d remove it, it’s very edible, but noticeable in that the bones in it are firmer and I feel them when chewing. Mildly annoying, but tolerable. I know the calcium is good for me. In fact, I might have some here shortly. I might try them with a little malt vinegar on them.

The flavors are great, good size. The bad, the guts aren't completely out of some. Don't really notice if you shut your eyes

It is nice to have the smoked variety of sardines, I like the taste much better. It is not swimming in oil and the packaging is easy to open. Not sure about the plastic top, but it is still my number one choice of all the other relatively harmless brands out there.

This was, by far, one of the best tasting sardines I've ever tasted. No fishy taste or smell. Immediately smelled the smokeness of the sardines. Extremely tasty and tasted very good. Easy to eat with my dentures. Melted in the mouth perfectly. Will be ordering again.

These are excellent sardines, consume 3 cans weekly with crackers,great taste.
