I bought this as an aid to cooling whilst exercising. It works exactly as I needed it to. Airflow is good, noise level, even on full bore is acceptable (although perhaps not whilst sleeping). I used the fan on the mid setting (of three) in my bedroom during a recent 'heatwave', the fan was on all night and made a significant difference to the room temperature. The low hum from the motor actually sent me to sleep, a bonus. Definitely recommend it but don't expect it to cool the Albert Hall. It's a domestic fan and works brilliantly in that role.

So metal 18inch fan. Excellent and just like one I bought 4 years ago. The old one has started to slow down and I wanted a new one before this summer. We have to blowing air into the bedroom every hour or so for 10min. It is very powerful and an expected noise level for the wind movement. As in the motor is quiet but a propeller moving air is going to make some noise! Nothing that would wake you up. I've had it one for 12hours at a time so it is very economical and built quality is great. We have it on level 1 which is very strong, if you used level 3 it would knock things off the shelves from the other side of the room!

Great , has a ferocious wind speed sounds like it could take off but really does the job. Obviously not using at the moment!

This is a pretty solid fan, but it's very noisy. The entire thing is metal, including the blade, and vibration from the motor was being carried up the shaft and into the blades, making a very high pitched whining sound. It was unbearable to listen to. I was was going to return it, but I solved the issue by placing a tiny piece of plastic between the screw holding the blade in place and the rotor shaft. Even without the high-pitched whine, it is very noisy, even on the lowest setting, and I'm not normally one to complain about fan noise, because I sleep with one on year round. It does, however, throw a tremendous amount of air. The low setting turns my room into a wind tunnel. It also has a narrow enough profile that it can sit on the windowsill and blow cool air into the room, and I only need to turn it on for a few minutes at a time.

I have three of these, 2 smaller and one large (like the kind you get at the gym) and they’re amazing. Look to be all metal, and definitely all preassembled so can take out of box, plug in and be cool in seconds. Not flimsy at all, not overly noisy, good range of speed settings, and perfect in my flat which is very very very hot (great in the winter but it is quite a challenge in summer!) Re noise level I sleep comfortably with the smaller fans but I think the big one would keep me up all night, bear in mind though that it’s huge! Easy to move and position, sturdy and stable, and feel like they’ll last for years. No more wasting money on cheap ones that fall apart or burn out in days.

So far great! Very powerful, and seems very well-made. I have it on a timer in my basement to help get some air circulating. It’s been going for several days and all seems great. No assembly needed, you literally pull it out of the box and it’s ready to go.

It does the job, but only just. It’s very bulky and quite loud. The fan itself is fairly weak, although it does move some air. If you’re a light sleeper like me, this probably isn’t the right fan for you.

Product had a British 13-amp plug. Useless for Australian applications. Would need an electrician to replace the plug and not worth the effort and cost. Item was returned and cash refunded by Amazon.

worked fine for 2 months and now makes a really loud noise - I think a bearing is gone in the fan ): Too noisy to use.

Il est anormal de recevoir les ventilateurs avec marque CE, et qu'ils soient équipés de prises US, donc inutilisables, obligé de changer les fiches électriques à nos frais pour pouvoir s'en servir ! gros coup de gueule !
