This kit has a large variety of capacitors. They are clearly labeled and they all function perfectly. This is a must kit for electronics enthusiasts who like to build or repair things.

Some of these are silly -- there's no reason to use an electrolytic below 1 uF, and the big caps are quite low voltage. That said, at this price this is a very cool set for "re-capping" old electronics.

I miss having a Radio Shack locally to pickup components like this when I need to perform a small repair but being able to find what I need on Amazon and having it in a day or 2 is the next best thing. I was recently given an old 9" CRT TV that wouldn't power on. Upon inspection I found 2 capacitors that had burst and with this kit and a few minutes of soldering I had a working TV for retrogaming. If you need a quick variety of caps for an electronics repair, this is exactly what you are looking for.

Great price for the number and variety of capacitors. I wish they were made in Japan, even if it would cost a few dollars more. These kits were made in China. I think it should be listed in the description. I used a few so far and they measured within spec. My concern is will they last once in use.

With places like the "Shack" just a memory of the past, it is hard to get a few capacitors without ordering hundreds. For the price of this kit, you get a great assortment for most hobby needs as well as repairs. I needed to repair an old PS3 Guitar Hero guitar that no longer synced. After I saw a video explaining the most likely fauly capcitor, I found that my junk box lacked the 220uf electrolytic I needed. I bought this kit and it had that capacitor and others for the future in a nice segmented box which is great for storage. I selected the cap, soldered it in and the gutiar worked once again at the pleasure of the customer. It is a great value for the money.

plenty to choose from at a great price

This kit cost me what less than 10 capacitors would have cost with shipping from one of the big name electronic supply houses. I needed a capacitor to repair my APC Battery Backup. This kit contained the correct value I needed. I kept a 15 year old device out of the landfill and saved myself $300 for a new unit. Only required basic soldering skills and a search on YouTube. I would recommend this kit for all the aspiring DIY electronics repair folks.

I really needed just two capacitors for a project. But this was such a good price that I bought the entire assortment. I'm glad I did. There are lots of useful values for future use, and the box keeps them organized and easy to find. Really a smart product and good deal!

I bought this set to replace several defective capacitors, but they are so bad! 1000 uf measures 914 uf (6 out of 10) 220 uf measures 113! 4 out of 10 etc etc. they are almost worse than the ones to be replaced
