Using for hanging white-tipped cane.
A bit expensive for what it is, but it works well. We purchased these hooks (pack of 2) for hanging one of my son's white-tipped canes by the back door & one by the front door. The one by the front door works well, but the one by the back door is located where my dogs' wag their tails - waiting to go outside. The slightest bump & his cane falls off. The hook is a bit larger for the cane & the cane is lighter weight than what brooms and such would be, so it's not the fault of the hook. They do keep his canes off the floor, which makes one less thing I have to move in order to clean the floors, so I'm happy with this item. I know most reader's aren't in my situation, but for those few out there that are, I would look for a hook a tad bit smaller. If you can't find one, this one works great as long as you install it where it won't get bumped.

Convenient, Versatile, but Light Duty
This is a classic simple, convenient holding/hanging device for brooms, mops, and similar long-handled tools. But I could not find it locally after checking several hardware stores and home centers. Found it on Amazon! This one is a lighter duty version than older ones I have seen and used. The back plate is thin (0.030", 1/32") and the uncoated rod diameter diameter is only slightly larger than 1/8". Suitable for light brooms, etc., but probably not for heavier items, such as shovels and yard tools, or for heavy use.I like that it folds flat against the wall when not in use. Plan on using longer screws than those provided. Would prefer a heavier duty model, if available. (P.S. The current photo shows it oriented wrong - the hook should be hanging at the bottom, with the two screws aligned vertically. The backing plate is even labeled 'Top').

Works as expected
Good hooks (picture is sideways). Have shovels, rakes, axe and even a post hole digger hanging on them. if the hood bends at all, easy to put back in shape.

Holds a pistol well
I mounted these inside a gun safe at about a 40 degree downward angle and they hold my pistols. Works great! I just stick the hook into the barrel. They don't move around, and although my largest one bounces a little on the hook, the hook has not changed shape compared to the others.

The curve of this hook keeps broom, mops, etc. from slipping as advertised!
We have finally found something that works as it's intended!
